The Rt Hon Laura Trott MP returned to Hampstead & Highgate last night. Kindly hosted by Baroness Finn of Swansea, Laura spoke about issues facing education and the nonsensical behaviour of the Labour Government.

Laura started her political journey as a Camden Councillor in the Frognal & Fitzjohns ward. She met with Juliette Graham and Cllr Steve Adams, who are about to contest the Frognal ward in May 7th.

She also wished Shelley Rubinstein, Susan Aykroyd and Amanda Sefton well as they embark on their campaigns in Belsize, South Hampstead and Hampstead Town.

Car crime alert for NW3 - weird kind of theft that is prevalent in our area at the moment

There is a bizarre crime taking place in NW3 at the moment. It is smashing rear windscreens of certain types of cars and stealing the parcel shelves which block the view into your boot. An example is the smashed screen of the car below seen in Hampstead Town this morning.

This may be to see if you are storing anything worth stealing in your boot but the parcel shelves themselves are being stolen. I have never heard of this kind of crime but these parcel shelves are then sold on ebay.

The Met has advised that if you are concerned that your vehicle may be at risk, take the parcel shelf out yourself and leave it in your house or garage. The parcel shelves of some particular makes of vehicle have a high value weirdly. So, if you are worried, take your parcel shelf out.
