As you will probably know by now, the Small Charities Coalition (SCC) sadly announced that we would be closing on 31st March 2022. Thank you once again for all of your kind words and offers of support since then.
Last week, we announced the good news that The FSI and NCVO (National Council for Voluntary Organisations) have come together to provide a home for the SCC Helpdesk and other key services. You can read more about the transfer and what it means here: https://www.ncvo.org.uk/about-us/media-centre/press-releases/2860-fsi-and-ncvo-partnership-becomes-new-home-of-small-charities-coalition-helpdesk
The transfer will take place on 11th April. This means you will still be able to access vital help and support for your charity. We're pleased to announce that Amy Walton will also be joining the team at NCVO on 11th April! She will continue to provide the support, advice and guidance that we have been proud to deliver to you for over a decade.
Amy will be taking a short break before she officially joins the team at NCVO. This means that she won’t be able to answer any new HelpDesk queries until the 11th April and there may be a bit of a delay when she returns. Please bear with us.
If you have queries that you need help with during this time then please do contact Amy's new colleagues at NCVO via [email protected]. Email is the best way to get in touch for now but if you need to use the phone please call 0207 520 2552.
Just like SCC, the FSI and NCVO send information which aims to keep small charities updated and supported. To make sure that you don’t miss out, you can opt in to hear from NCVO and the FSI about the Helpdesk and other support and services for small charities.
You can do so here: https://www.ncvo.org.uk/the-small-charities-coalition-helpdesk-is-moving
If you are already a member of the FSI or NCVO then you will continue to receive mailings and information from them in line with your preferences.
Both NCVO and the FSI are excited to continue supporting small charities through the Helpdesk, the Charity Set Up tool, and other key services to secure the positive legacy of the SCC. They will further develop their existing and collective small charity offer by:
- Building on the FSI’s Small Charity Week campaign
- Exploring the provision of a peer support and mentoring programme
creating new e-learning opportunities
- Ensuring small charities have a voice to influence policy makers.
Thank you for supporting SCC and for using the Helpdesk. We know from all the feedback we receive that SCC has offered an invaluable service to small charities and we look forward to continuing this with the FSI and NCVO.
Please do make sure to read our final evaluation report by Iona Lawrence - https://docs.google.com/document/d/1LdDwcbFTMjn3s8dwvKNAtB4yLamcDPM3EOzF-hLJH_Y/edit
We will no longer be monitoring this page or responding to comments or messages.
Thank you.
