Covering over 99% of bilateral trade value with zero-duty access, the agreement lays the foundation for a stronger, more dynamic and future-ready economic partnership, unlocking opportunities for trade, investment, innovation and growth. The CEPA will deliver tangible gains across key sectors of the economy—from duty-free access for Indian agricultural, marine and pharmaceutical products to enhanced mobility for professionals and service providers. It will create new opportunities for exporters, businesses, MSMEs and skilled talent, while strengthening value chains and deepening people-to-people and commercial ties.

Here are some glimpses from Team ’s Consular Camp held yesterday in Sutton. The camp brought together members of the Indian community to access consular services, seek guidance, and engage directly with our officials.

High Commissioner P. Kumaran delivered the key note address at the Cambridge India Business Dialogue of the Judge Business School at the University of Cambridge. HC highlighted the potential collaboration for research, innovation and development of new technologies for enhancing trade and investments in the corridor. He also underscored that students remain the key pillar of the bilateral educational relationship.

RBI Governor Sanjay Malhotra participated in a series of high-level engagements in the UK, interacting with global investors and business leaders. Alongside High Commissioner P. Kumaran, he joined an investors’ meet hosted by HSBC and Citibank and later engaged with leading British and international companies at Asia House. The discussions offered valuable insights into India’s economic outlook, growth opportunities, and investment potential.

Team hosted a reception for the Indian Football Team participating in the Unity Cup last evening, underscoring the strengthening India–UK sports partnership, with football emerging as an important avenue for collaboration, talent development and people-to-people ties.

Strengthening Community Connect Through Consular Outreach!
Team will host a Consular Camp in Sutton on Saturday, 30 May 2026, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM offering passport, OCI, visa and other consular services to the Indian diaspora.

In the run up to International Yoga Day 2026, team participated in a Chair Yoga session led by yoga instructor Sweta Bahri. The session highlighted how simple yoga practices can help manage workplace stress, improve focus, enhance posture, and promote overall wellbeing in today’s fast-paced work environment.

High Commissioner met Rt Hon Sir .mp earlier today for an insightful exchange on deepening the India-UK partnership across key areas of cooperation.

High Commissioner P. Kumaran met Secretary-General of Shirley Botchwey yesterday.
Their discussions focused on strengthening the Commonwealth’s role in development cooperation, advancing an inclusive “AI for All” agenda, and further reforming the Commonwealth to reinforce its member state led character.
