Jannette Connell, Hertfordshire – Crochet Poppies
Jannette Connell, age 61, from Welwyn Garden City in Hertfordshire, has been making and selling crochet poppies and poppy products for the past six years to help raise funds for The Poppy Appeal each year.
At the age of 24, Jannette lost the majority of her sight after suffering a brain haemorrhage but she didn’t let that stop her getting creative and although left with only 3% of her sight, Jannette has been able to produce beautiful crochet poppies to raise funds for the Armed Forces each year. Having raised over £8,000 over the years for her poppies. Please support Jannette in any way you can. Please see Jannette's Just Giving Page below.
