✨ A little team update from Mission Housing!
Katie will shortly be stepping away on maternity leave, and we want to take a moment to say how grateful we are for everything she has brought to the team. Katie has been such a valued part of Mission Housing, and we are incredibly thankful for the care, commitment and encouragement she has given to the work we do.
Today we enjoyed going out for lunch together as a team to celebrate Katie and this exciting new chapter ahead. As she prepares to welcome her little one, we wish Katie and her family every blessing. She will be greatly missed while she’s away, and we will certainly be keeping her in our prayers. 🤍
We are also delighted to introduce Carolina, who will be stepping into this role while Katie is away. Carolina will be helping to continue sharing updates about the work of Mission Housing and the progress we are seeing with our applicants and shared owners.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support and prayers as we seek to support Christian workers and their families through housing!

We are so excited to share some recent progress of our applicants and shared owners.
We were successful in purchasing a property for Caleb and Adanesh at the end of 2025, and we are currently in the process of obtaining quotes for a bathroom refurb before they move in. We are optimistic that they can officially move in within the upcoming months!
Jonathan and Jessica’s property purchase went through 2 days before Christmas! It was a real blessing that it all came to fruition as planned, and they have been thoroughly enjoying the moving in process!
Leanne and Tom are our first property completion of 2026! This one has taken a while to go through, for various reasons, and we are so thrilled for them that it has been a success!
We would love some prayer on a particular purchase that is happening. There have been a lot of ups and downs recently, and we are really trying to get this one over the line. Mission Housing is buying a smaller flat for one of our current associates, freeing up their house for Cheryl, Neil and their family.
Marshall and Amy have started looking for properties to purchase, which is so very exciting.
Jake and Lizzy are planning to buy the house that they are currently renting, and are nearly there!
We have some newer campaigns that started last year, and if you can help, or know someone who can, please send them our way in support of Joseph & Ruth, Jonny & Beth and Will & Lucy.
There are a few new faces that are yet to be revealed, but please do also pray for Rosie & Matt and Armel & Oana, who are 2 of our newest accepted applicants!
Our goal for 2026 is to purchase 4–6 properties through shared ownership, and thanks to your support, we are steadily on track to make it happen!

At Christmas, we return to a familiar scene: a young couple, far from home, turned away from comfort and certainty. There was no room at the inn; no obvious place for Jesus to be born. And yet, it was precisely there, in the margins, that God chose to make His dwelling among us.
The first Christmas reminds us that God is not deterred by closed doors or limited space. When the world had no room, God prepared one anyway. A stable became a sanctuary. A manger became a cradle of hope.
This year has felt hard for many. Rising costs, uncertainty, and the pressure of finding or keeping a secure home have weighed heavily on individuals and families alike. It can feel as though there is no room, no space to breathe, no obvious way forward. But the nativity story gently assures us that God is still at work in these very moments.
At Mission Housing, we see this truth lived out time and again. Through shared ownership, tenancies, and housing support, we have witnessed God making room where it seemed impossible; preparing homes not just of bricks and mortar, but of stability, comfort, and peace. Each door opened is a reminder that God continues to provide space for His people to live, serve, and flourish.
As we celebrate the birth of Jesus this Christmas, may we be encouraged that the God who made room in Bethlehem is still making room today. Room for hope. Room for generosity. Room for lives to be rooted and renewed.
May your home, whatever it looks like, be filled with His presence this Christmas, and may you know the joy of the God who chose to dwell among us.

2025 Round Up
We are so grateful for all that God has done for us this year at Mission Housing. As 2025 draws to a close, we’re reflecting on a memorable year. Some of the highlights include:
• 4 properties sold, 3 shared ownership homes purchased and 1 tenancy property purchased!
• For the first time ever, we had a tenant purchase their home from us.
• Receiving an unexpected legacy of £202,000.
• Had our first AGM on a barge, thanks to St Peter’s Barge for hosting.
• We replaced 1 front door and back door, and refurbishing 1 kitchen and bathroom.
• Completing 71 maintenance cases from our tenants.
• Upgraded our PC systems
• 11 applications for shared ownership were received.
• 2 applications received for community house tenancies.
• 21 new loans were received from 13 new lenders totalling £516K.
• 1 loan was forgiven to our associates totalling £5K.
• And 2 shared owner staircasing a total of £21K!
Through all we have experienced this year, we remain so grateful for the opportunity to serve and support our associates as they build God’s Kingdom through a diverse range of ministries and activities.

🙏 Every other month, we gather online to pause, pray, and seek God together — We have our final Prayer Meeting of 2025 today at 12:30pm.
If you’re planning to come, do let us know! And if you can’t make it this time, you’re very welcome to send in any prayer requests — we’d be honoured to pray for you. 💛
These meetings are a wonderful opportunity to reflect on Scripture, share updates from across Mission Housing, and lift one another up in prayer.
We hope to see you there!

🌟 A Big Milestone! 🌟
We’re absolutely thrilled to share some wonderful news — our long-term associates, Kafui and Etornam, have officially purchased their home from us! 🏡✨
They’re the first ever Mission Housing tenants to reach this stage, and we couldn’t be more delighted for them. Having a place that’s fully their own is such a special achievement, and we’re so proud to have been part of their journey toward homeownership.
A huge congratulations to Kafui and Etornam — and every blessing for this exciting new chapter! 💛

As we look ahead, our focus remains on helping more key mission workers live in the area they seek to serve. We’re continuing to grow the number of people we support, expand the reach of our shared ownership model, and create even more helpful guides and resources to make the journey smoother for our associates. We want to deepen our community connections and invite more people to partner with us in helping mission flourish, so keep an eye out for this.
We are always busy at the Mission Housing office, walking with future shared owners in buying their home, writing update letters to lenders, managing any maintenance issues for our managed and tenanted properties, organising visits to catch up with all our associates and much more. We love what we do, and we could not do it without your support and encouragement, and neither could any of our associates.
If you would like to learn more about Mission Housing or think that you could help us continue to help mission flourish, please visit our website, or get in contact with us.
If there is anything else that you would like to know about who Mission Housing is or how we do things, please drop us a line, or comment below and we can create a post just for you!

We are proud of all the hard work that went into our information videos. They took us just over a year to make all our plans and arrange our drafts and ended up with this final result. We love the interviews that we had with our associates, and we really wanted to share the full length of their stories, so you will also find our longer version of this video on our YouTube channel.
