Job Vacancy - Cook 👩‍🍳 Regenerate-RISE is a charity that reaches the isolated elderly across the borough of Wandsworth. In our Putney centre we cater for 40-50 elderly members, 4 days per week. We provide a nutritious lunch and a programme of fun activities. We are currently looking for a cook to to join our team.

Hours: 30 hrs a week
Time: 9 – 4.30 or 8.30 – 4 (your choice)
Salary: £13.50 ph (£21060 per annum)
Days: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday
Role: Preparing, cooking and serving lunch for 40-50 people a day, Alternatives are offered to the main course. Sole worker in the kitchen and includes washing up (with a dishwasher) and cleaning. Stock taking and ordering

RISE+ delivered 40 dressing gowns to Dalby Ward at St George’s and Mary Seacole ward at Queen Mary’s Hospital today for older patients on discharge from hospital who have been admitted previously maybe through a fall, in their nightwear. Imagine older people with no family to bring warm clothes to the hospital in these freezing conditions - we can all make a difference by showing a little bit of kindness

We have buried our 6th person in our Regenerate-RISE family grave at Putney vale crematorium. Although we miss them all and everyone else who has passed away in the last few years or more, we are very grateful to have known so many different people - all with their own characters. All who have influenced us in one way or another to continue reaching out to older people across the boroughs of Wandsworth and Merton. Although the start to the new year has been a difficult one, we look forward to an amazing year ahead enabling older people to live life to the full.

The Dover House Singers were the winners of our Quiz Night. We raised £600 which was fantastic - towards our new Centre. Well done everyone - we had a great evening

Giving out Christmas gifts to our RISE+ people after a very busy Christmas week. Thank you to Fleur Anderson MP for Putney for helping out today. RISE+ is a discharge to home project working with St George’s and Queen Mary’s hospitals - we wish everyone a very Happy Christmas

Today we did our 4th and final walk! From the Chelsea & Westminster Hospital to the Platt Centre Putney! On this one we had Rain, Wind, Sunshine and Clouds, many roads to cross, with pavements to navigate. It was hard work but WE DID IT! Please Sponsor us, the link is in the comments
