Ealing Conservatives hit the streets!

We had another week of good conversations with residents about the issues facing our Borough.

As we delve into winter, the Ealing Conservatives will continue knocking on doors. Do speak to us about any concerns or points you want to raise.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning,

We will remember them.

Ealing Labour and the Liberal Democrats just voted AGAINST our simple, common-sense motion to back our high street shops and pubs.

All we asked was for the Labour-run Council to put our community first, instead of defending Sir Keir Starmer, and send a straightforward letter to the Chancellor Rachel Reeves and her right hand man James Murray, urging a cut to business rates in the end of November Budget.

That’s it. A letter to stand up for Ealing’s shopkeepers and publicans.

They refused.

Instead, they defended Labour’s dismal economic record and left our high streets to struggle on.

And the Lib Dems? They just followed Labour’s lead. No backbone, no independent thinking, no support for local businesses. Shameful.

Ealing deserves better than party games and excuses. Our motion was about saving jobs, protecting pubs, and keeping our high streets alive.
