As the Team England - Commonwealth Games, Kings Baton Relay continues across the country it takes a look at the sustainability work our partners are doing.

Ellie Simmonds led a beach clean ahead of the Commonwealth Games at West Kirby beach alongside Merseyside Sports Partnership (MSP), volunteers and many more!

This initiative was part of the Commonwealth Clean Oceans Plastics Campaign which aims to stop at least one million pieces of plastic entering the world’s seas and oceans. Commonwealth Sport has teamed up with the Royal Commonwealth Society to tackle plastic pollution ahead of this summer’s Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

Happiness 🤝 Physical activity

Children and young people that are more active also tend to feel happier. Being active isn’t just great for the body - it boosts young people’s minds too.

That’s why it’s so important we keep everybody moving and make sure every young person has the chance to experience the joy and wellbeing that sport and activity bring.

Let’s keep inspiring active, happy futures.
