Hello Loyal Friends,
It's time to get the ball rolling on 100+ languages project and there are several ways you can be involved.
1) Send us a video (40sec or less) of you speaking the language of your choice on one of the following topics: Why did you choose SOAS? What do you like about SOAS? How has SOAS shaped/changed you? When you've finished the recording you can send the videos directly to us ([email protected]).Please tell us a) what language you're speaking b) what you're saying. By submitting a video to us you are giving us consent to diffuse the video online. We will use these videos on our YouTube channel as well as our other social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, etc. Please note that consent can be retracted at any time.
2) Come in for a recording! Same instructions as above except you show up at room 344 on any of the following dates between 12-3pm and have someone else from the SOASWeTalk project record you. (July 12, 14, 19, 21, 26, 28, or August 2, 4)
3) Be part of our Centennial Video! Along side the above, smaller videos, one of our major goals is to put together a larger, cohesive video built up of different speakers of different languages. This video will also be featured on our YouTube channel as well as the aforementioned social media platforms. We would like to put the film together at the beginning of August. Send us an e-mail of interest with your name and language and we'll be in touch!
Hope to see (and hear!) you soon
Feel free to contact Eveling ([email protected]) for any questions you might have.
