PART 3 OF 3 - HALLOWEEN - TO DO OR NOT TO DO?

LAST CALL...
Don’t be the one to mislead others!

Jesus said to his disciples: "Things that cause people to stumble are bound to come, but WOE TO ANYONE THROUGH WHOM THEY COME. It would be better for him to have a millstone hung around his neck and to be thrown into the sea than to cause one of these little ones to stumble”, Luke 17:1-2. This covers so many things my friends. Here Jesus was talking about Judas who was about to betray Him. Jesus was acknowledging that His time for suffering and paying for our sins was coming but He feels really sorry for the one who will be the one to trigger the process.

See, people often ask, ‘if all the things Jesus was going to go through was predicted in the old testament, then its not Judas' fault that he betrayed Jesus because he was destined to do that’. That’s not true – the ‘destined’ bit. The fact that everything that has happened and is to happen, has been laid down in the Bible, it does not mean people who will do it is also written and decided – No. See, like everyone else, Judas had the ‘free will’ to choose whether or not to betray Jesus. It could have been any one of the other eleven apostles or disciples that were following them. But Judas proved to be weak. He had deceit in him. So when an opportunity – a big opportunity – to make money came, he took it!

Many things are predicted to happen but who will give in to the greed and temptations of this world, we don’t know. But one thing is certain that someone will definitely choose evil. The way the world is headed, we know things will get worse. So of course God knows the end from the beginning which is why He worked out a strategy well in time to save His people – Salvation through Jesus Christ. He sent Jesus Christ to make remission for our sins – past, present and future. Imagine the extent of those sins that God saw no other way but to shed His own blood to save us.

Our sins today don’t even scratch the surface of what we humans are about to do in the coming years, much worse and unimaginable. But thank God for the awesome gift of His son Jesus Christ, those of us who will believe in Him will for sure be saved.

But here’s the thing. I put up some facts about halloween the other day and many of you read it. Some of immediately chose to believe and take the tough decision not to get involved in it anymore. Congratulations because you chose not to be the cause of misleading others like your children, wife, husband, siblings etc) - you are the cause of saving them and their souls above all.

But then there are others who are reading or have read, and will or have decided to stick to their guns of 'doing halloween'. Not because they are bad people, of course not. Its because they cannot handle the pressure of their peers. People who expect them to participate or to throw the best halloween party ever and in fact beat the last one they did, that pressure is apparently more than the the pressure of hurting their Saviour who gave His life in a brutal death for them!

They’ve got this pressure of breaking their own record and doing even better (or worse) this year. So they are going ahead with their craziness and splashing out on putting up the best scary masks, and decorations inside and outside their homes, not forgetting their own black witch dress and hat lol. Question is,’ for what?’ Just so people would applaud them for ‘such a great party’!

Two things going on here….you who are not just hosting a very demonic thing, you are also the ‘cause’ of misleading others! Yes. You’re enticing them with great food, much laughter and musical entertainment – just like the devil does to us!

My friends, see what Jesus says about those who will be the stumbling block to others, ‘WOE TO ANYONE THROUGH WHOM THEY COME. It would be better for him to have a millstone hung around his neck and to be thrown into the sea than to cause one of these little ones to stumble”.

Someone said, 'Oh it’s a once in a year thing and makes everyone forget their worries’. Wow! And that’s your reason for giving in? That couldn’t be more sadder. A momentary joy? Do you even realise that that momentary joy will never fill the vacuum you have inside of you? That fake laughter, loud noise called music, and forged loyalties of one night, will cause you the true joy that is available to you in choosing Christ?

Beware, if you participate in this, you will have strengthened the hold of the enemy upon your life and when things get worse and sicknesses take over, debts and lack begins to increase, those skulls and bones will be of no use to you. I know that many of you have been led to go to witch- doctors and fortune tellers etc but how has that ever worked for you? You might even think it did, but it really didn’t.

So this is a last call to all of you to STOP glamorising this cultic ritual called halloween, instead help others see the truth and let the truth set them free. ‘So He said to the Jews who had believed Him, “If you continue in My word, you are truly My disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." John 8:31-32.

Listen, I have not put these messages up to condemn you or make you guys, my friends, feel guilty or convicted. In fact it is to guide you away from the darkness you are walking into. It is to say to you that you can return to God now, and He will forgive everything and bless your life here and in the ever after. That is the Good News!.

I was ignorant too once upon a time my friends. See God said in Hosea 4:6, ‘My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge; because you have rejected knowledge,’ See when the Apostles Paul and Barnabas went round preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ, many rejected them and they said to them, ‘Then Paul and Barnabas spoke out boldly and declared, "It was necessary that we first preach the word of God to you Jews. But since you have rejected it and judged yourselves unworthy of eternal life, we will offer it to the Gentiles’ Acts 13:46.

My friends , don’t you go rejecting Jesus Christ today. Don’t you go sentencing yourselves to eternal life in hell. Committing a sin purposely, knowing full well that it is wrong, is quite serious. Repent now and turn away from this demonic act. Who knows whether you'll even live long enough to repent and save your souls. Today is your chance. Now if your heart is not hardened towards God, I know you will listen to Him.

I was going to say that I wasn't planning to to go on about Halloween, but actually I was - all because I love you guys!

As I've said before, the Holy Spirit just takes over my hand and types away! I adore Him and I worship Him. There is none like my God. There is no God but Him. And if you want a piece of what I have then make Jesus your Lord and Saviour because He is the only Way, the Truth and the Life. No one can come to God except through Him. There is only ONE way. That’s’ why it’s a narrow way because not many of you will take it.

Be courageous today in Jesus' Name.

PART 2 OF 3 - HALLOWEEN - TO DO OR NOT TO DO?

AS FOR ME AND MY HOUSE, WE WILL SERVE THE LORD.

How to say NO to halloween.
You will note I don’t spell words such as halloween and devil with capitals. Its because they don’t deserve the importance! So, What’s the significance of carving pumpkins?

Well from what I’ve found out is that it was used as lanterns and also because pumpkins are in season in most winters. The carving of 'scary face' is a superstitious belief that originated in Ireland that if they 'carved a scary face' and kept it at their window, it would ward off evil spirits. This couldn’t be far from the truth. When Jesus was accused of casting out evil because He was devil possessed, Jesus answered, ‘If a kingdom is divided against itself, it cannot stand. If a house is divided against itself, it cannot stand. And if Satan is divided and rises against himself, he cannot stand;.. Mark 3:25. Meaning, if a devil is used to cast out devil, devil’s world will collapse. It is impossible to fight evil with evil. Only Good can defeat evil. Therefore this notion of a 'scary/evil face' warding off evil IS NOT TRUE. Or Maybe people were led to believe this so that the scary face could actually invite evil into their home without them knowing it. After all devil is a liar!

So since it is the season of a really good nutritious vegetable, this is what me and my girls plan to do - We will get pumpkins, carve one out with an image of an Angel or a Heart or a Smile as a sign of love. We are also going to cook everything from pumpkins – Pumpkin Soup, Pumpkin Pie and a main dish with pumpkin in it, LOL. No costumes!! You can do this too but make sure you tell your children that you’re not celebrating halloween and the reasons behind it. As for costumes – I’ve never gone for scary ones, instead my children were dressed in pumpkin shaped overall, a sheep overall and angel wings etc. Of course at the time they hated me for not dressing them up scary, but they appreciate it now that they know better. I’ve taught them what I know to be right, now its up to them to make the right choices. I back them up with my prayers continuously. Go a step further and play hymns and worship songs for part of the evening (in your face satan!).

So my friends, Will you choose God today over all those ‘innocently evil’ rituals OR are you going to give Jesus the cold shoulder and go with the one who has deceived you forever and keeps you in bo***ge? For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life’ John 3:16. He suffered crucifixion for you. Will you still deny Him? Are your going to still choose devil over Jesus? I made my decision years ago that as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. It's not difficult once you've made up your mind. The Truth behind Halloween - Trick or Treat!
satan is a master of deceit and lies (John 8:44). The Bible calls him a deceiver, and Halloween is just one of his tricks. Kids love Halloween because its both fun and scary. The creepeir, freakier and scarier, the better! But they have no idea what’s behind this celebration. There are physical and spiritual implications to Halloween which my Church recently taught. Halloween originated under the name of ‘Samhain’ as a pagan festival among the Druids (pagan priests) Celts of Ireland and Great Britain. Irish and Scottish immigrants carries versions of the tradition to North America in the 19th Century. In the British Isles, All Saints Day (Nov 1) came to be called, ‘All Halloweds’, since it was a day to honour all the hallowed ones, the Christian dead. Because Samhain always occurred the evening before All Halloweds, it came to be called, ‘All Halloweds Evening’ or just ‘Halloweds E’en’. From this it evolved into ‘Hallows’ E’en’ and ultimately to what we know today as ‘Halloween!’ Because of the relationship in the names and the adjacent dates, many today entertain the completely wrong and unfounded idea that Halloween is somehow a Christian holiday. But this is far from the truth. This misinformation has sadly made it much easier for the ungodly festival to move to some churches.

To Satanists and adepts of witchcraft, Halloween is no joke. Its’ one of their most solemn ceremonies of the year. October 31st was a night of terror called ‘Samhain or the lord of death’. Samhain is known as ‘the feast of the dead’, as it was believed that at this time the dead could return to the land of the living to celebrate with their family, tribe, or clan. It also marked the Summer’s End.
That night the Druids (pagan priests) went from house to house demanding an offering for the spirits of the dead. A house that would not provide a generous ‘food’ to the spirits would have a child sacrificed! That’s where the tradition of ‘trick or treat’ was born! In exchange for the victim, they would leave a jack-O-Lantern (a carved pumpkin, which would be lit). This was supposed to turn demons and spirit of the dead from harming that house.
Again, that’s where the tradition to place a carved pumpkin at the house’s entrance door comes from. Satan loves Halloween because it glamorises the forces of darkness and promotes his messages for the occult. It seems to be working because research points to a massive increase of teenagers drawn to the occult and its dark style.

Physical Implications: The practice of ‘trick or treat’ is best know as the blackmail or instilling fear to prevent vandalism. Each year, the police department is inundated with complaints over anti-social behaviour and property damage undertaken in the name of ‘trick or treat’. Fear and even extortion have been reported to be used especially on the elderly during Halloween. Children pedestrian death is also highest on Halloween and the emergency services are busiest on Halloween with everything from minor injuries to serious incidences like car-pedestrians-accidents.

Spiritual Implications: The tradition of offering candy, fruit or money as ‘treats’ on Halloween night came from the Druids when they would ask for ‘treats’ for the entities of the dead. A person involved in such a ‘treat’ is making an offering for the spirits and that’s no fun at all! Christians should not engage in giving or receiving food that are offered to the Halloween season. Our Lord Jesus says, ‘No, but the sacrifices of pagans are offered to demons, not to God, and I do not want you to be participants with demons. You canoe have part in both the Lord’s table and the table of demons’, 1 Corinthians 10:20-21. Need this be any clearer? Finally one day of ‘such fun’ could badly effect years of one’s life and even have eternal consequences. Now, know that not even God interferes in your own choice. Life is yours and you decide what should be beneficial or harmful to yourself and your family.
However, never say you were never told the truth! Hope this blessed you today!!

Good Morning People! Another day gone, another day begun. Let’s make it count! Following on from John 15:7&8, where we see that God’s desire is to see us prosper in every area of our lives, Jesus goes on to say that He is revealing all this to us because He considers us His friends and not servants. Because see, you wouldn’t sit discussing your future plans and family secrets with the cleaning lady would you? You would confide in a friend. So does Jesus. The whole Bible is available to anyone who wants to read it, but its mysteries are like precious gems that are revealed only to those whose hearts are true in seeking the will of God. So Jesus doesn’t sugar-coat His words. He says quite plainly that if you want to be my friends do whatever I have commanded you to do – simple (verse 15:14). If you want what God has for you, then listen to Him. And then Jesus goes on to reveal His commandment which is to love one another.(verse 15:17). But its no simple love – the love Jesus is talking about is one where you are willing to lay down you life for a ‘friend’. First off, what got my attention was why did Jesus put such emphasis on ‘friends’, why not brothers and sisters, or loved ones, or family? My guess is, because He valued a ‘friend’ more. Jesus once said, ‘who are my mother, brother or sister? Is it not you who follow me? See Jesus also experienced what we experience sometimes with family. Jesus’ mother and brothers didn’t always follow Him or support Him. Jesus had to choose His apostles from general public. We too can relate can’t we? Often times you’d look for support and love from family but that very family hurts you more than anyone on the outside, right? And we find one friend becomes the source of love and companionship that far surpasses anything a brother, sister, mother or father could have given. So when Jesus says to us, ‘You are my friends’, we ought to feel so proud that He chose us to be His friends. Some people want to be considered ‘family’. They’ll say to you that ‘you are like my big sister, or my family, etc. Now that I know better, I’d rather not have anyone as my sister or aunt etc, I’d rather have a friend – true, self sacrificing, selfless, clean hearted and like-minded. That friendship is worth more than any sisterly or brotherly love. Now laying down your life is not necessarily literal, but Jesus was just saying that a friend should be true and loyal no matter what. And so He is hoping that we would be such friends to Him. He died a terrible death for us, so the least He expects is that we value that sacrifice and believe why He did it and that He won! See what He says in verse 16:,‘You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit--fruit that will last--and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you’. So today my friends you have been chosen to become ‘friends’ with Jesus and enjoy all that He has won for you – His blood paid for your freedom from depression, diabetes, by arthritis, cancer and all sicknesses and diseases. He took you out of the hands of that spirit of poverty, lack and misery and brought you into life more abundantly. He secured your place in heaven through salvation by grace. He made you righteous by putting His own cloak of righteousness over you. So now, when you ask using His Name, no one can deny you anything – not God and not the devil. God sent Jesus so that you and I could have all good things in this life, its the devil who doesn’t want to release what Jesus had already paid for. So go get what is rightfully yours. Declare health, healing, restoration and victory over your lives everyday until devil lets go and you see results. Remember in Mathew 13:23, Jesus says the seeds (His Words) when fall on good ground (believer’s heart), through perseverance and patience (everything takes its due course) will bear fruit (have results). Hope this blessed you. My aim is to get you guys to a level where you experience the miracles that is in God’s Words. If any of you have been declaring God’s Words and have seen some breakthroughs, please let us all know. Your testimony will bless someone else. "No one lights a lamp and puts it in a place where it will be hidden, or under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, so that those who come in may see the light’ Luke 11:33.
