Why do we walk the Legal Walk? - We see everyday people with unique stories that are in crisis because the system is complex, difficult and made up to lead people in destitution, homelessness and crisis if there is no immigration advice available.

Therefore, we can't wait to walk the in June.
We support many different people every year & everyone of them has a different story. A person, we supported, got bad legal advice and therefore became undocumented. See below 🖼️ 👇

London Legal Walk 2023 25/05/2023

We can’t wait to walk the in June.

We support many different people every year & everyone of them has a different story. We believe that everyone has the right to high-quality advice to make informed decisions. Our immigration system is highly complex and without legal advice is highly to understand it.

Taking Care – SLRA 10/05/2023

We’re excited to co-host an event with Merton Council to celebrate our partnership over the last 5 years. Our Early Prevention Programme is a partnership between Local Authority, foster carers, young people, and us to make it easier for young people to go through the immigration process, to know their rights and entitlements, and to access immigration advice. Many young people without a British passport in care have unsolved immigration issues which can lead to complications in their daily lives. Our cooperation successfully led to fewer young people ending up with unsolved immigration issues after they leave the care system and accessing the support before they are in a crisis.

Today, we are celebrating the big success and will hear from immigration caseworkers, social workers, Forster carers and young people involved in the project!

More about young people in care, you can find in our report that we published together with !

👉

Taking Care – SLRA Taking Care At least one in every 10 children in care and more than 10,000 young care leavers in England have unresolved immigration or citizenship issues. Without better immigration support from local authorities, these children face uncertain and unsafe futures. This report, ‘Taking Care: How lo...

Share our concern & stand up for better protection for trafficked children and young people!

Together with many organisations, we're really concerned about the protection & wellbeing of trafficked children & young people.
But instead the impact of the will put them at higher risk of abuse and exploitation!

On 18.04, we therefore signed a letter to the Secretaries of State to raised our concerns! Find the press release 👉 https://www.ecpat.org.uk/news/one-in-three-trafficked-children-go-missing-from-local-authority-care

Further, a report by Ecpat Campaigns and Missing People find that 1 in 3 trafficked children go missing from local authority care. This is an increase of 25% since 2018. It is time to protect vulnerable children and young people and not to put them in more danger!
