We are very pleased to present Sir John Redwood's annual Christmas Carol, once again.

The tale of a government in turmoil, & the sword in the stone of growth...

Merry Christmas to one and all!

Lord Tebbit served as President of the Bow Group since 2015, he was a guiding light for us before, during, & will always be.

He performed a great & lifelong duty to this country, serving in both the RAF & government.

He deserves to rest, though we need him now more than ever.

“It was a common Nazi/Soviet technique to declare political opponents as 'enemies of the people', and inconvenient information as 'misinformation'.

That the BBC is doing it completes the case for their dissolution.”

“Suggesting the Conservatives are substantially different to Labour, even now, seems to hark back to a bygone era – a simpler and more naive time. In hindsight, it will all seem laughable.”

“For even a faint hope of substantive change, the entire system needs to be challenged, not just one or even a few parties. The question is, can Reform be that challenge?”

“Peter Hitchens predicts everything in British politics will be a disaster and is thusly never wrong, however where I disagree with him is the contention that the outcome is substantially different whether an establishment Conservative or Labour Party is in power.”

UK Prime Minister Delivers Weak Speech Equating Islamists with 'Far Right' 11/03/2024

Ben Harris-Quinney, chairman of the small-c conservative The Bow Group Group think tank, added that the subtext of Sunak’s speech was:

"I’ve presided over record levels of legal and illegal immigration … we are seeing the inevitable results … Rather than take responsibility, I’m going to use it as an excuse to increase state surveillance powers and curtail free speech."

This strikes at the only consequential point of Sunak’s speech; that it marks the impending introduction of new restrictions on freedom of expression.

UK Prime Minister Delivers Weak Speech Equating Islamists with 'Far Right' Rishi Sunak failed to address the two decades of unfettered mass immigration as the cause of increasing social division.

“Even in these dire times, the British public deserves a lot better than ‘but Labour would be worse’.”

We need a conservative revolution - The West's decline and slipping away from traditional values. 07/11/2023

"We've reached the point where to say the last 13 years of Conservative government were continuation Blair is an insult to Blair.

We have a government with higher taxes, higher spending, higher number of legal & illegal migrants-far to the left of Blair."

"Like our many great institutions, monarchy can be saved but it can never be modernised because it is the opposite of modernity."
