Newcastle v Tottenham: Fan stabilised and in hospital after emergency 19/10/2021

Just days ago, on Sunday 17th October 2021, a fan required urgent medical attention during a football match between Newcastle United and Tottenham.

During the 41st minute, the referee at the time, Andre Marriner, was alerted to the issue in the East Stand and made the judgement call to suspend the match for 20 minutes to allow medical staff to get to the stand in time.

Luckily, the stadium had a defibrillator on standby allowing medics to quickly stabilise their condition before rushing them to the hospital. Our thoughts are with the fan and wish them a speedy recovery:
