This study day will provide an overview of oncological conditions affecting Children and Young People with solid tumours, aiming to provide a greater understanding of treatments within the solid tumour disease groups. Advances in treatment will be explored as well as discussion surrounding current targeted therapies and their impact upon today’s practice. The afternoon will aim address different aspects of solid care and options, as well as an opportunity to listen to the lived experiences of a patient’s family.

This study day would be perfect for medical, nursing and allied health professionals with an interest in caring for children and young people with oncological conditions.

March is Lymphoedema Awareness Month.

To increase your knowledge of lymphoedema, The Royal Marsden School's 20-credit module can be studied on a standalone basis or as part of a degree programme. In this module, we combine online sessions with in-person learning.

Key topics covered:
- Pathophysiology of chronic oedemas including the associated risk factors
- Specialist skills needed in the assessment and measurement and management of lymphoedema
- Health promotion; coping with and adjusting to a chronic condition including advice regarding movement and exercise
- The role of MLD and SLD in lymphoedema management
- The role of the Lymphoedema Support Network
- The global picture of lymphoedema and service development.
