This Friday (23rd Nov) it is free for 100 students up at Haydock and £10 for students at Ascot (see lovetheraces.com for deets). Next Thursday (29th) is free for students at Newbury.

The UCLU have finally got back to us about our proposed society. Unfortunately it won't be affiliated. We have fought long and hard to get a society up and running but we haven't been able to change the Union's pre-conceptions about horse racing. They still maintain that it is 'too expensive', despite us finding student offers and taking parties of 35 students to the likes of Ascot.

The latest on the UCL Students Horseracing Society is that we are still pending affiliation with the UCLU. We are hoping to organize a big day out at the races after exams finish in June, possibly in conjunction with a few other unis. Watch this space!
