🚨ANNOUNCEMENT🚨

Over the next few weeks we will be writing a policy submission to and for the 2020 Mayoral manifesto.

We are consulting our members to make sure the submission is representative. We want to hear about creative and radical solutions to pressing local issues, issues faced by students in London.

Whether you have a fully fledged policy you want us to push, or you have a rough idea we can develop with you, get in touch with your club chair to find out more!

It's that time of the week again - King's College London Labour Society are the FIFTH London club to disaffiliate and yet we, like many of our fellow clubs across England, Wales, and Scotland, remain completely ignored by the Labour Students leadership.

How many more disaffiliated clubs will it take for them to acknowledge the damage they have caused to this organisation, to the point that an entire region (Welsh Labour Students) is considering disaffiliating because they feel neglected?

What about the fact that they held Liberation + National Conference all the way in Edinburgh, and 5/7 Scottish clubs were barred from attending?

When will they address the concerns our clubs have over how the elections were conducted, with allegations of rigging around every step of the process?

When will they stick to their word of releasing the full election result numbers - and why are they so committed to keeping these hidden?

It's been 29 days since our incoming London RC initially contacted them about this, and there still hasn't been a response.

Until these concerns are dealt with, we fear further disaffiliations will follow. This is a crisis facing Labour Students.

London Young Labour is proud to launch our new school - a political education programme for 2019. We will be running a six-week night school starting in late January. The school will include activist training and development alongside education in political and economic concepts and our movement’s history. You don’t need extensive experience, just enthusiasm and a desire to become more (or even more) involved in Labour and in trade unions.

If you’d like to apply for a place at the school, please fill in the form below. Applications are open till the 5th January.
