There has been lots of conversations going on at Bow Lane about the changes in the weather and what is happening to the trees etc. Bow Lane is surrounded by beautiful grounds , plus the stunning Morden park right next to us which we visit frequently, so the children decided they wanted to make their very own tree! So in small groups today the children and staff got busy making their own tree, using their own hand prints as the leaves!

Learning to use scissors is a great foundation for learning to write. Cutting helps develop fine-motor skills, hand strength, hand-eye coordination, and the ability to use both hands together. These are the same skills children need later to hold and control a pencil. So before expecting a child to write their name, activities like cutting, drawing, threading and playdough help prepare their hands for writing.

Here at Bow Lane the weather never stops us being able to use our large garden area. Our garden is open free flow all day for all of the children, come rain or shine! We have wet weather clothing for all the children (and the staff!) we do find the wet weather days can be some of the best

Bow Lane offers wrap around care for local schools St John Fisher and Hatfeild. Our Daily pick ups are always a great opportunity to get out into the community, deepen the children's bonds with their friends, and even a stop at the shop for some snacks!
