The annual Centre for Doctoral Science (CDT) Festival of Science features talks and activities organ
The 2016 Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) Festival of Science will run all day Friday 15th April in the Sir Alexander Fleming Building (South Kensington Campus). The festival is a chance for CDT students to showcase current research and scientific issues to the community of Imperial College London. This year’s theme “Science & Science-Fiction” will explore the role scientific research plays in science-fiction and vice versa through a variety of activities and talks.

Competition time!!! "The Artefacts of Research"
Would you like to show off the art that you've found in your research potentially win £200? Then enter the Festival of Science competition!
We are looking for entries in any medium: sculpture, photography, painting, poetry, whatever you choose! Your piece should show off the following aspect of your research:
"It is easy to miss the aesthetics of day-to-day research, but beauty and simplicity are important facets of scientific research and can often guide us in the right direction. This is "found art" in a scientific setting, looking at your research from a different perspective.
Take objects, jottings or equipment from your research and present them as art."
All entries should be sent as a private message to the page.
First prize: £200
Two runners up: £50
