Membership of the Company of Pikemen & Musketeers represents the final and most honoured chapter in many a long and distinguished journey of service to the Honourable Artillery Company - occasionally spanning more than fifty years.

There can be no greater mark of respect, and signal honour, than to accompany a fellow Pikeman on his final journey.

Today, we were deeply honoured to fulfil that solemn duty for one of our own.

It was his express final wish, and we were proud to deliver it with full ceremonial honours. His family expressed profound gratitude, knowing how much the Regiment and the Company had meant to him throughout his life.

Rest in honour, Michael. Your service is complete, and your memory will endure among us.

Onward, noble Company.

On Sunday the seventeenth of May, the full Company of Pikemen & Musketeers, together with Ye Musik, assembled at Armoury House for a splendid Company Muster Parade.
This marked the first gathering of the entire Company since the successful completion of the latest recruits course - a fine opportunity to unite old hands and new, refresh long-honoured skills, and sharpen our drill in readiness for the season ahead.
Two great events now lie before us: Founder’s Day in June, where we shall have the honour of being reviewed by the Lady Mayor, Alderwoman Dame Susan Langley; and The Lord Mayor's Show in November, when we shall welcome Alderman Tim Hailes FKC JP, as the 698th Lord Mayor of London, to his year of office.
Well marched and well met, one and all. The Company stands ready.
Onward, noble Pikemen & Musketeers!

Tonight the worthy Division of Pikemen gathered in fine fellowship at the Historic Royal Palaces Tower of London for their Divisional Dinner.
We came together to celebrate three proud milestones: those who have freshly passed their recruits course and now stand among us; those who have earned well-deserved promotions within the Division; and those who now advance with honour into the Veteran Company.
In the splendid Mess of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, we enjoyed a most excellent meal and raised many a glass in good cheer. It was a fine evening to reconnect with old friends and welcome new ones, all beneath the historic walls of that ancient fortress.
Hearty toasts were made to the health of the Company and to our next merry meeting.
Well done to all - the Division grows ever stronger in brotherhood and spirit.
Onward!

Hark! Let the trumpets sound and the drums roll forth with noble thunder!
Upon the evening of Tuesday the twenty-eighth of April, in this year of grace, the valiant Pikemen & Musketeers of the Honourable Artillery Company didst complete their most excellent Pass Out Parade at the storied Armoury House. With martial precision and hearts full of fire, they marched and manoeuvred as one.
The noble Inspecting Officer, none other than the worthy Late Lord Mayor Alderman Alastair King DL, did review the company with a discerning eye and a countenance well pleased. The recruits delivered a demonstration of drill so fine, so sharp, and of such high quality that it did honour both the ancient traditions of the City and the solemn duties that lie ahead — whether upon the grand stage of the Lord Mayor’s Show or in service to the Livery Companies within these ancient City walls.
Their performance was witnessed with pride and joy by friends and family gathered there, and the evening concluded most fittingly with a hearty reception in the magnificent Long Room, where good fellowship and celebration flowed as freely as the wine.
Let it be proclaimed with mirth and ceremony: hearty congratulations to every new member who hath now joined this most distinguished Company! Ye have earned your place among the Pikemen with skill, discipline, and true spirit.
Well done, one and all. The Company stands stronger and more gallant for your presence.
Onward, noble Pikemen & Musketeers — may your pikes stay steady and your powder dry!

Another successful Meet the P&M event this week - it was a pleasure to welcome 26 members of the City Consorts Society, whose partners will soon be elected Master of their livery company, and introduce them to the Company and tell them about the part we play in City life and ceremonial.

It was great to welcome the City Marshal and staff from and the Mansion House to Armoury House yesterday to tell them about our history, entertain them in our armoury and give them a chance to try on armour and handle a musket!
