The RCG fights to build a revolutionary working class movement in Britain. Fight Racism! Fight Imperialism!

The RCG fights to build a revolutionary working class movement in Britain to smash the imperialist system and build socialism. To do this we oppose the opportunist Labour Party and fight for international solidarity.

In the midst of crisis, the ruling class is determined to bear down on the most oppressed sections of the working class; these are its traditional methods of punishment and control. The Labour Party is also seeking to recapture the votes it is leaching to Reform. It is therefore engaged in savage repression, with more than 58,500 migrants deported and immigration raids against ‘illegal workers’ up 77% since Labour came to power in 2024.

While the British left chases tilts at the windmills of the ‘far right’, unions such as the RMT, for all their pledges to oppose ‘the fascist threat’, have failed abjectly to defend their members against Labour’s racist measures.

We must be clear: any movement against racism in Britain has to start by challenging the Labour government and its racist immigration laws.

Labour Party, Racist Party!
British State, Racist State!

🇨🇺 Socialist Cuba is under attack and needs our solidarity

For over six decades, Cuba has faced the longest system of unilateral coercive measures in modern history: the illegal US blockade. Designed to economically strangle Cuba’s socialist project, the blockade restricts access to fuel, medicine, food and essential goods.

Yet Cuba continues to resist. The Cuban Revolution has defended its socialist project organised around human need, not private profit. Despite the genocidal blockade, Cuba has maintained universal healthcare and education, sent doctors across the world in acts of international solidarity, stood with liberation struggles from Angola to Palestine, and remained an unwavering example of anti-imperialist resistance.

Responding to Cuba’s call for solidarity, comrades from the Revolutionary Communist Group and Rock Around the Blockade will join the 53rd edition of the José Martí European Volunteer Work and Solidarity Brigade. This year’s brigade commemorates the centenary of Fidel Castro, whose life symbolised revolutionary internationalism and resistance to imperialism.

Travelling to Cuba, brigade members will take part in voluntary work, political exchanges and visits, learning first-hand about the achievements of the Revolution and the realities of life under blockade. Crucially, we will also bring material aid to Cuba to help break the blockade, delivering essential supplies to support Cuban communities facing the daily consequences of the genocidal blockade. But we cannot do this alone. We are raising money to fund the brigade and purchase urgently needed aid to take to Cuba. Every contribution, however small, will help us materially support socialist Cuba and strengthen the bonds of international solidarity.

At a time when imperialism seeks to isolate and punish Cuba for daring to build socialism, it is more important than ever to stand with the Cuban people.Donate what you can and help us defend socialist Cuba.

📣 Protest: 22 June 2026 - outside the Old Bailey (London EC4M 7EH) for every day of the trial.

📍A SOAS University of London student, Sarah, has been charged, and another SOAS student has been arrested, under Section 12 of the Terrorism Act for ‘inviting support for a proscribed organisation’.

Their supposed crime is to have made speeches on behalf of the SOAS Fight Racism! Fight Imperialism! society in October 2023 supporting the Palestinian right to self-determination.

🇵🇸 This is an intensification of suppression of free speech on the issue of Palestine. We demand that the Crown Prosecution Service drops all charges against Sarah and discontinues all its investigations in relation to alleged Terrorism Act offences against the other student.

The right to express any support for the Palestinian struggle for national liberation is at stake in this case. The alleged Terrorism offence carries a penalty of up to 14 years in prison.

This calculated targeting of two young Palestine protesters is an attempt to intimidate and censor any expression of support for the Palestinian freedom struggle.

It is an attack on the entire solidarity movement.

📍 United Nations General Assembly resolution 37/43 of 3 December 1982 and the Geneva Conventions Protocol 1 explicitly give the Palestinians and all oppressed peoples the right to resist their oppressors by any available means including armed struggle.

A conviction in this case would have devastating consequences for freedom of speech in Britain. It would mean that anyone expressing support for the right of oppressed peoples to resist racism, colonialism and occupation could be tried under terrorism legislation.

DEFEND THE SOAS 2!

After their assault on our comrades in Nottingham, the TUC and their allies in the opportunist left organised a meeting to discuss how to further censor and attack us. All of this is in defence of the indefensible – their platforming of Labour MP Nadia Whittome, who despite her supposed support of Palestine and migrants, remains in the very party that colludes in the genocide in Palestine, and that has deported over 60,000 migrants in under 2 years. The TUC and their allies shamefully provide a left cover for this hypocrisy, exposing that they too benefit from imperialism and will do anything to prevent it from being challenged.

Palestinian medical student in Cuba speaks to FRFI

Whilst in Havana for the Nuestra América international convoy, FRFI met with students from the Latin American School of Medicine (ELAM). The following is an abridged version of our conversation with Ihab, a Palestinian student at ELAM who spoke to us about Cuban internationalism, healthcare under Cuban socialism, the devastating effects of the blockade and the relationship between the Cuban and Palestinian struggles.

📣 Join us on Saturday 23 May, 4:30pm at King's Cross Neighbourhood Centre (WC1H 8EF) for the London launch of our newly published pamphlet Fighting racism: the state and the streets.

With racism on the rise in Britain, this pamphlet is a crucial intervention. It sets out the need to build a movement against the racist British state along the lines of the militant movement in Minneapolis against ICE.

In Britain, we are facing a racist Labour government that boasts of deporting over 60,000 migrants in less than two years in power.

This is ignored by most of the British left and Stand up to Racism which instead divert attention away from state racism by focusing only on Reform UK and the far right.

This pamphlet explains that imperialism forms the material basis of racism in Britain.

Capitalism is an inherently racist system that cannot be reformed - only socialism can create the conditions to end racism and it must be fought for by a revolutionary movement on the streets.

Come to the launch to join the discussion on how we fight back against racism in Britain!

Today marks the 65th anniversary of Cuba's victory against the failed 1961 US imperialist invasion at Playa Girón (Bay of Pigs).

As imperialism continues to attack socialist Cuba, threatening military invasion and tightening the blockade; the Cuban people are prepared to defend their revolution.

Inside the belly of the beast we must organise to challenge the US blockade, which British banks continue to unlawfully support.

The RCG and RATB stand unconditionally in support of socialist Cuba.

Join us to organise in its defence and for international working class solidarity.

Viva Cuba!
