Dear Friends and Colleagues,
The London Legal Walk is an annual fundraising event, bringing the legal community together in support of free legal advice services.
Following our extremely successful walk last year which raised over £4,000, Refugee Women's Association will be taking part again this year to raise funds for free legal services for our organisation.

We have decided to dedicate this fundraising activity in memory of our dear Director, Simin Azimi who we sadly lost last year to Cancer. Simin's philosophy which RWA upholds, is to promote justice, fairness and equality for all and we thought what better opportunity to uphold her philosophy than to take part annually in London Legal Walk.
The walk will be taking place on Tuesday 28th June and we would be so grateful if you could help us reach our target. We would like to thank you in advance for your time, support and kind donations – it truly means a lot!

Dear Friends and Colleagues,
The London Legal Walk is an annual fundraising event, bringing the legal community together in support of free legal advice services.
We thought to share that this year Refugee Women's Association will be taking part to raise funds and will be completing the 10k walk in memory of our dear Director, Simin Azimi who we sadly lost earlier this year to Cancer. Simin's philosophy which RWA upholds, is to promote justice, fairness and equality for all and we thought what better opportunity than to take part in London Legal Walk 2021.
The walk will be taking place on Monday 18th October and we would be so grateful if you could help us reach our target!

Sign now: stop the inhumane treatment of asylum seekers Since the start of the Covid-19 crisis, thousands of people seeking asylum have been housed in hotel accommodation as a stop-gap. However, a year into the crisis, people seeking asylum are still stuck in these hotels with grossly inadequate support from the Government and feel completely abandoned.

Sad News from RWA
It is with great sadness in our hearts that we are writing to inform you that our dear friend, colleague and director of RWA Simin Azimi passed away on 6th January 2021.
Simin worked for Refugee Women’s Association for 25 years and has dedicated her whole life purpose to helping and supporting refugees, asylum seekers and migrants.
Some people come into our lives, leave footprints on our hearts and we are never the same. Simin was one of those unique people who touched the hearts and lives of many, helped and cared for everyone: clients, colleagues, friends, family and even people she didn’t know that well.
She always maintained a positive and forward-thinking attitude. Even at difficult times, Simin preferred to trust in life and with diligence, determination and resilience believed anything could be achieved. We know that she truly inspired you and so many people she worked with and with whom she maintained a professional and friendly relationship. We hope to carry on her legacy and commitment to the sector as she would wish.
RWA will continue its work as usual and if you need to contact us, please email either [email protected], [email protected] or [email protected].
We appreciate that some people may want to send flowers but given the current climate, we kindly ask that instead, donations can be made to RWA to honour Simin’s life work here:
