DEADLINE EXTENDED FOR THE MEA CLEANTECH ACADEMY

The Research Institute for Solar Energy and New Energies (IRESEN) along with Green Tech institute (GTI) - UM6P, are honored to launch the opening of the call for applications for the 1st edition of the Middle East & Africa CleanTech Academy (MEA CleanTech Academy), which will be held in Benguerir from the 4th to the 10th of September 2022. This training course is organized in a joint effort between IRESEN and UM6P, in partnership with the Atomic Energy and Alternative Energies Commission (CEAtech), Oman Hydrogen Center (OHC), Regional Center for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (RCREEE), and Arab Fertilizer Association (AFA). The goal of the program is to strengthen participants’ ability to weigh the opportunities and challenges associated with Green Hydrogen technologies and act as drivers of change in their country’s energy transition, among a select community of junior scientists namely Ph.D. students and Master Thesis students.

Within the framework of – phase II, MEDENER/ENEA in cooperation with RCREEE are launching the first edition of MEETMED WEEK, the project’s largest annual gathering dedicated to regional energy efficiency and renewable energy in buildings and appliances, on 28-31 March 2022 at Cairo, Egypt.

The four-day event aims at fostering regional cooperation for energy and climate transition in Southern Eastern Mediterranean Counties, bringing together policymakers and stakeholders to exchange experiences and discuss the next steps for the decarbonization of the region.
