Behind every donation we distribute is a place where it can be safely stored and organised.

This month, we'd like to recognise Big Yellow Self Storage, Gants Hill for their continued support of the Welcome Centre. Their storage facilities help us manage the many food donations and essential items we receive, ensuring they are available when our clients need them most.

Strong community partnerships make our work possible, and we are grateful to have Big Yellow alongside us on this journey.

Appreciating Ongoing Support ..!

We’d like to take a moment this month to recognise the continued support from Big Yellow Self Storage, Gants Hill.

The space and security they provide quietly support so much of what we do — helping us store donations and keep essential items organised for our clients. It’s a support that truly makes a difference behind the scenes.

Thank you for being a consistent part of our journey and for supporting our community every step of the way.

We were delighted to welcome Nnenna Osuji, the new CEO of NHS North East London Integrated Care Board, to the Welcome Centre as part of her induction visit to Redbridge.

The Welcome Centre, is Day Centre that supports people who have experienced homelessness. The visit provided a valuable opportunity to showcase how we work in partnership with Redbridge Housing, One Health Lewisham(Nurse), SHP(Housing&Outreach), the DWP(Benifits), Ramfel(Immigration),BARKA(Reconnection project),Providence Row(Psychotheraphy) and VIA(Drug&Alcohol) to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our local homeless community.

During the visit, Sonia Lynch, Welcome Centre Manager, shared insights into the services and ongoing support provided to our clients. Ilir Mustafaj, Healthy Living Projects Manager, also presented an overview of the Healthy Living Project, how it began and the impact it has had on the homeless community to date.

A real highlight of the visit was seeing Dr Osuji engaging directly with clients—listening to their experiences and even enjoying a friendly game of table tennis with them.

We are incredibly proud of our team and partners, who work tirelessly to support those who have experienced homelessness and destitution within our community.
A special thank you to Carla Morgan (Head of Urgent & Emergency Care, Redbridge, NHS North East London) for organising the visit.
