This beautiful garden and community centre, an oasis of green in the heart of bustling Kings Cross has had a large chunk of their funding cut by the local council

Money for overheads, key workers, maintenance of the grounds etc, have gone. Act now and join the campaign to save it for future generations -like this FB page and we will keep you up-to-date of how you can help.

Help us create ponds for urban wildlife! Our Wildlife Garden redevelopment at Calthorpe is well underway, and we’d love for you to be part of it!

Join us for a FREE, hands-on workshop exploring how we can support aquatic and amphibious wildlife by creating ponds from recycled materials. Even small ponds can make a big difference, providing vital habitats for frogs, insects and other wildlife.

Morning: A relaxed, discussion-based session in the cabin to share ideas and explore the important role water plays in a thriving wildlife garden.

Afternoon: Get hands-on in the Wildlife Garden, creating new ponds from recycled materials and helping us bring new aquatic habitats to life!

The workshop will be led by Jack Jeans .appreciated who is a professional gardener and horticulture educator. Jack will guide us through the day, with plenty of room for your own idea, creativity and input.

Booking is essential! Tickets are FREE, but spaces are limited to keep the group manageable on site.

Leading up to our annual day of the dead festival we have a bread making workshop on Saturday 31 October. You will be led through a workshop to make traditional Bolivian bread (Tawa-tawa’s) and Mexican sweet bread (Pan de Mu***os).
