Save Phoenix House asbestos support - Saturday 15th October.
Location: Spirit of Barrow statue, Barrow in Furness
Please get along if you can.

This Saturday there will be a protest in Barrow to Save Phoenix House, the DWP site which processes Industrial Injuries Disablement Benefit, asbestos compensation, and other claims relating to work-related disease.

The closure will see thousands of claimants lose a dedicated and expert service, based in the place where asbestos levels are higher than anywhere else in the country. Dozens of PCS members also risk losing their jobs.

The very same people who responded to by saying "all lives matter" are now saying the RNLI should let people die at sea.

Hypocrisy.

No matter what we look like or where we come from, we all deserve to feel safe.

But certain politicians and populists are attacking the RNLI for saving lives at sea and helping people to safety.

The very same people who responded to by saying "all lives matter" are now saying the RNLI should let people die at sea.

It's almost as if they never actually meant it.

It's up to us to stand against this racism and cruelty. Sign the petition to stand up for a UK that welcomes refugees: https://action.freedomfromtorture.org/tell-priti-patel-refugees-welcome-petition?utm_campaign=21DC020/C/FO&utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social?utm_content=
