Just a few pics of the the time when it snowed back in December 2022. These pics were taken when the snow was melting away as I couldn't brave it to the garden in the thick of it all!

Happy 10th anniversary Lincoln Garden! Without our amazing volunteers this garden would not have made it this far! Many many thanks to all our volunteers for all your hard work and amazing ideas, our autumn harvest and anniversary celebration was fantastic!

Crazy cucumber seedlings!! So I saw someone use this technique where you soak cucumber seeds onto some kitchen tissue and then place into a airtight container and they germinate super quickly....and they did! Within a couple of days all these Bangladeshi cucumber seeds germinated! But I took some time to plant them into soil so today i had a bit of a tricky and fiddly task of untangling them. I managed to get it done. Word of advice once they've germinated and you can see the first leaves pot them up otherwise you'll spend a good hour or so doing what I did lol!

From weeds to wonderful! Tomatoes are finally in! And so is my bottle gourd plant AKA Kodu for all Bangladeshis. I planted 6 gourd plants this year and hoping for at least one to survive. Last year the snail population was so grossly massive that within hours they massacred all our gourds, squashes and pumpkin plants! In previous years snails and slugs have never attacked gourd plants and it was very heartbreaking losing them. Who else has gourds in this year?

A small oasis in the urban jungle of the East End. Our community garden, established since September 2012, has been growing and thriving with amazing volunteers and various plants from different countries. We grow alone, grow together and keep growing and reaping the rewards of our labour and love that is gardening.
