The City of London Corporation’s Sports Team would like to know how people living in the Square Mile stay active—whether through sport, fitness, or other physical activities. We would also love to know what you would like to see more of. Your feedback will help shape future programmes and make them even better for our community.

It only takes a few minutes to complete the survey, and your voice matters! Please share your thoughts before 31 December:

City of London Corporation Housing has been informed by the Regulator of Social Housing (RSH) that they intend to inspect our services. RSH inspections are proactive and regular. The RSH carries out routine inspections of larger landlords (those with over 1,000 homes) every four years.

In August, we were informed that we will be inspected by the RSH. The inspection process started in mid-September and we have provided dozens of documents to the RSH which show how well we are meeting four consumer standards: Safety & Quality, Transparency & Accountability, Neighbourhood & Community, and Tenancy.

Inspectors will be on-site at the Barbican Estate Office 4-6 November to carry out interviews with key staff and to understand more about our services and operations. They will also be attending key committee meetings earlier in October.

Inspectors will not be visiting estates or homes, and there is no anticipated impact on residents. Only involved residents who have previously engaged with us on our policies, strategies, and/or services may be contacted to set up a meeting with the inspectors when they are on-site.

After inspectors are on-site, they will determine our grading over the course of November to January. We will continue to provide updates as the inspection progresses.

We will write to all residents in the new year once we receive the result, detailing what the grading means and our action plan to address any gaps identified by the RSH. We expect that they will publish their public regulatory judgement in February. You can read the latest regulatory judgements and gradings on the RSH website: https://www.gov.uk/government/organisations/regulator-of-social-housing

For more details about the inspection, please visit the important updates section of the City Corporation Housing and Homelessness website: https://www.cityoflondon.gov.uk/services/housing-and-homelessness

No! Not the rubbish bin! Recycle me!

It's Recycle Week and this year we're joining Recycle Now for the Rescue Me! Recycle campaign.

So many items end up in the rubbish bin when they could be reborn into something new - in the City of London you can recycle all of these items in your clear recycling bags:
- Toilet roll tubes
- Aerosols
- Yoghurt pots
- Perfume bottles
- Trigger sprays
- Foil
- Shampoo bottles

So rescue them from the rubbish and recycle them instead!
