🦄 Joker. There is an entire book to write about this horse. To think of a few words to describe him briefly, I would say that he is loyal, forgiving, experienced, and intelligent. To know him is to love him. He is sweet, kind, lovable, and has personality for days. This horse has a long, long resume and unlimited potential.

Born on July 2, 2020, “Joker Jacked Up“ is a 5 year old registered Tennessee Walking Horse. Raised in Indiana, and grew up on our farm since he was 2 years old. Over the past 3 years, many of our family memories have included Joker. From camping trips to horse shows to cattle drives to parades- he’s been a part of it all.

Joker stands 15.3 hands tall and has a thick, strong build. He is well put together, and his color is gorgeous. He has a super long mane, and his tail drags the ground almost a foot.

Joker’s gait is exceptional. He has a super smooth, all natural four beat gait that requires no special shoeing to achieve this gait. He can ride slowly or speed up a little when you ask him. He is fun to ride all day long! He has a true running walk, head-shaking type of gait, but can also pick up into a nice four-beat gait as well. He is a confident horse that can ride alone as well as with a group. He has been ridden alone as much as he has with a group of horses.

On the trail, Joker is safe, sound, trusted, and experienced. We have ridden him on every type of terrain you could imagine. From the sandy trails in Florida to the snow and ice in Michigan, and all of the rough Appalachian mountains in between, he has surely covered the ground and done it safely and carefully. Whether it be a steep mountain or a rocky road, Joker can take you there. We have taken Joker camping in many states where he is used to being tied to the picket lines and adapting to new and challenging environments. We have even ridden him on the beach in Florida, where we ended up just a few feet away from a dolphin. He was absolutely wonderful!

Around the farm, Joker has been used like an everyday work hand. He has been ridden to check cow and calf pairs, to drag the fields, move gates, and catch livestock. He is a jack of all trades and is up for whatever task you need him to complete.

Joker is also a trick horse. At your command, he will lie down and also sit up. He will even follow you at the command to come and will side pass to a mounting block. He also parks out. He can even be ridden bridleless once you have established a connection with him.

Joker even drives! He has many miles of experience driving both single and double, and will get you where you need to go safely and in style! He is completely traffic safe and has been ridden to and through town many times. From semi trucks to four wheelers- he has seen it all and pays it no mind.

At the horse shows, Joker has done many things. He has packed the flag, let young kids ride him on the lead line, and brought home many blue ribbons. He is sure to turn heads both in and out of the ring, and he always does well with all the lights, noise, and commotion. He also does not mind all of the horses going around him. He is a super-safe horse, and nothing much phases him at all.

Joker is used to all sorts of things, as you can see in the video. He is great with the tarp, whip, and even the gun, as he has been shot off of many times. Joker has also been hunted off of a lot. From squirrel hunting in the day to c**n hunting at night, Joker is familiar with leading dogs, bright lights, and gunfire.

Joker is really the type of horse that people search high and low for. He is a “dream” horse, but it isn’t just because of his good looks. His smart mind, his smooth gait, his eager to please demeanor, and his fun and friendly personality are what make this horse a dream. Even though he isn’t perfect, he is not far from it in our eyes. He is a trusted, reliable horse that you can always count on to do what you need him to do and do it safely.

also came to the vet with me today to check on her canker and do a bandage change. Not good🤦‍♀️ It continues to grow back aggressively. That’s very disheartening to say the least, but we are going to start a different protocol shortly and are hopeful it might be more successful. We are just not ready to give up yet on this beautiful 5 year old Belgian mare - she’s so young! 🙏🏻

Noel also came in much thinner than the pictures I had seen of her portrayed and I gasped when she walked off the trailer on Feb 13 at a mere 1544 pounds. Today she weighed in at 1740 pounds! That’s a weight gain of 196 pounds in 32 days! At least I know I am doing one thing right for her🐴❤️🙏🏻
