Grants for LYMEC Congress

This week was an exciting one as Liberal Youth signed a partnership contract with our liberal friends in Morocco to work together on a joint grassroots movement for political education in schools!

This new partnership is as a result of a project seminar we were part of in The Hague, on European and Arab youth perspectives on democracy, kindly hosted by our Dutch sister party Jonge Democraten.

David Cameron: Britain must accept its fair share of refugees seeking safety in Europe Millions of men, women and children are fleeing the Middle East and Africa to find safety in the West. The Independent believes Britain must no longer turn a blind eye to their plight and must work with other European Union countries to set and welcome a quota of refugees.

June has so far been a very busy month for Liberal Youth!

Members have been in Finland, Estonia, Hungary and Copenhagen - meeting with ministers to discuss free speech & e-governing, participate in a seminar on youth & co-management and join our sister party campaigning in the Danish national election!

Members have also been applying to IFLRY - International Federation of Liberal Youth's Free Trade and Gender Equality teams and to be part of the delegation to the COP21 (UN climate change conference) in Paris.

Great to see so many members involved internationally in so many different ways :D

Team LY is heading back to Copenhagen to join the Danish election campaign trail for our social liberal sister party, Radikal Ungdom!
