C Company 5 Fusiliers

The shooting team came 3rd out of 10 teams in the qualifier competition and have qualified for the national championships next month. The team was made up of members of C, X and Z company’s. Well done team!

Today is the Fusiliers Gallipoli Day and we commemorate the bravery of the Lancashire Fusiliers at Gallipoli in 1915. The first landings took place at 0600 on 25 April 1915 and the Battalion won everlasting fame by winning six Victoria Crosses that day, the so-called “6 VCs before breakfast”.

Ladies and Gentleman… St George’s Day, our Regimental Birthday and our Colours.

There have been Fusiliers continuously in London since the naming of the Royal Fusiliers in 1881. We are still there today.

We have received our Freedom of the City of Newcastle. We’ve marched through the streets, Bayonets fixed and been cheered by crowds. Thank you Lord Mayor, thank you people of Newcastle. We are Honoured.
