Last month, we were proud to come together to celebrate the launch of the Beacon Partnership on the World’s End Estate.

This new partnership brings together , , and K & C Foundation to provide advice, emotional support, practical aid, and opportunities to build skills within the community.

The launch event was a lovely opportunity for everyone to connect, share conversations, enjoy food together, and celebrate the beginning of something meaningful and impactful for local families and residents.

A huge thank you to all of our partners, supporters, and everyone who attended. We’re excited for what’s ahead and proud to be working together to strengthen support within the community.

Sometimes all it takes is one trusted person to listen, support and show up consistently to make a difference 💙

Hearing experiences like this is a reminder of why community matters, not only for young people, but for parents and carers too. Having someone in your corner can make all the difference.

We’re proud to create safe, supportive relationships that help families feel heard, supported, and less alone.

There’s power in the stories we carry, especially the ones we rarely share.

‘The Stories That Built Us’ is our new series; a space for honest, anonymous voices from our community. Stories of struggle, resilience, and everything in between.

“There’s a misconception that you need to fully understand the circumstances of someone else’s life to be able to support someone well. I don’t think that’s true at all.

The young people I’ve supported weren’t looking for someone who had lived exactly what they had lived through. They were looking for someone who would simply spend time with them someone who could be with them as they were, rather than focusing on the circumstances that brought them there.

By the time a young person reaches Family Friends, chances are a few people and systems have already let them down along the way not intentionally, but it happens. What you do as a befriender is cut through all of that.

With Harry, it was our weekly walk.

To anyone watching from the outside it probably looked like nothing special just two people walking a mile, getting a coffee, sometimes a cake. But for Harry it meant a lot. That small rhythm, week after week, created something steady. His social anxiety eased during those walks. He had someone to talk to. Someone to sit with. A friend”
