EXCLUSIVE OPPORTUNITY FOR BIRKBECK LABOUR MEMBERS!

We have been working with The Society of Labour Lawyers who have invited all members (regardless of current degree discipline) who are interested in a career in law to apply for their pilot mentor scheme from April 2019 to April 2020.

The purpose and objectives of the Society of Labour Lawyers Mentoring Scheme are to:
• provide an individual mentor to students like you who are considering a legal career, including students from non-traditional backgrounds;
• demonstrate to students the rich variety of legal careers and practice areas open to them. As far as possible, you will be paired with a mentor working in an area of law that you are interested in; and
• show that lawyers working in any environment are able to combine their career with their Labour values. The SLL membership is made up of lawyers who are proud of their politics and wish to promote them!

This would be a fantastic way not not only make contacts in the legal sector who support the Labour cause but building a lasting relationship with a profession and receive a whole years worth of support.
