We're celebrating Pride month in recognition of all the LGBTQIA+ carers and young people in care 🫶

The first Pride march took place in 1970 as a protest and a party. At a time when LGBTQIA+ rights are being challenged in many parts of the world, Pride remains very important.

Creating safe, inclusive and supportive homes means creating homes where young people, foster families and colleagues can be themselves. A great family can take many forms, and it's diversity and empathy that brings the fostering community together. Happy Pride!

One of our young people H*, aged 10 years old, has won a Local Authority competition for her logo design! 👏👏

Children were asked to design a logo with the theme: "Families First", where H won a prize voucher.

We are incredibly proud of H and wish her well in her ongoing passion to excel in her artistic skills. Well done H!

As this year's comes to an end, we want to spotlight therapeutic care.

This is a distinct role designed for children who have had particularly difficult starts or who see the world differently due to neurodiversity like Autism or ADHD.

Therapeutic fostering is a specialised, professional way of caring that goes far beyond providing a spare room; it’s about using expert skills and a big heart to help children with the most complex needs truly heal and thrive.
