https://linktr.ee/freewegrow arose from the desire of three families to continue enabling our children to freely explore their own ways of learning to learn, and to grow in a democratic environment connected to nature and the world around us. In our educational project "At Dacres Wood" - aimed at children in the ages of 5-11 years, children’s time for free-play, exploration, imagination, and the pursuit of their individual or group interests is respected. Our approach is based on the values of integrity, and respect for one another as human beings, and as a community we will strive to model these values. We are based at Dacres Wood Nature Reserve in Forest Hill (London, UK) and are open Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 9:30 to 15:00.

Free We Grow is a vibrant learning community for home educated children who meet three days a week. It is a drop-off provision on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays for children aged 6 to 12 years old. It was founded by three families and one facilitator in 2017 to create a space in London where children can be trusted to learn freely, in relationship with themselves, with each other and with the world around them.

We're back in the wonderful wild woods that we love so much! Ready for a full new year of adventure and exploration, from shoots to unfurling leaves, to blossoms and fruit! Foxes and squirrels and cats and mud!
We start at the end of summer, and this term we're tuning into the world of spiders - looking out for young spiders born in spring, ready to balloon and blow in the wind on silk threads to find new homes! We're telling Anansi stories, constructing webs and model spiders! The world has so much to offer, we rarely need to look away from the woods to fill our souls!
Thank you Dacres Wood for being our home! We look forward to another year getting to know our kith!

🌳 Come and explore the woods, the pond and a photography exhibition trail created by the children
🌳 We'll be setting up an arts & craft station for attendees to create futures from their wildest dreams! This activity is inspired by the time travelling book by Rob Hopkins "How to Fall in Love with the Future'
🌳 Medina will be offering up her incredible henna art
🌳 Pond dipping action with Rowan & Sara
🌳 Beyblade arena created by the kids - please bring your own if you have them and would like to take part!
🌳 Clothes swap, bring items to donate, and pick something new to take home for free
🌳 Drinks, snacks and bric a brac for sale by donations

🦊 Free We Grow is a 3 day per week drop off provision for unschooled/ home educated children from ages 6 to 12 years old.

🌳 Set in a beautiful nature reserve in South London, it’s a super fun and loving self-directed educational space, where children learn through play and have the freedom to choose cool things they’d like to learn about and explore!

🐞 Please join us to find out more about the project, meet the facilitators, some of the kids, explore the woods and hang out and play!
