We have created this page to give parents and carers the opportunity to celebrate their children's work and find out what they are learning in school. We also hope that potential or new parents can have a look and find out about the wonderful trips, activities and excellent learning that takes place at Frank Barnes. Our Werewolf and Vampire (KS2) classes along with enjoyed meeting the Artemis II astronauts from today inspiring them to achieve their dreams!
We also watched an immersive film of the Apollo mission. Such a great opportunity. We got to ask the 4 astronauts questions. One of the questions they answered was that Deaf people can work at NASA and go to space, in fact, they really want Deaf people to join NASA to provide a different perspective π.
Good luck to the astronauts who are heading to the moon π.

During Deaf Studies, Gasholders class were very lucky to be joined by Mandy Docker, one of the duo of sisters that owns Deaf Chef. She came in to lead a healthy cooking session with the children. The children made 3 yummy healthy dips to accompany some fruit- Chocolate Yoghurt, Strawberry Cheesecake and Peanut Butter dip.
Mandy explained about her job and her journey with her sister setting up their new food truck. It was amazing for the children to meet great Deaf role models and to remind them that they can do anything they want to in life and deafness is NOT A barrier.
