Introducing our Contracts Manager Ben Mizen!

When Ben joined Kyro Fire Protection as our Contracts Manager, he already knew the industry inside out. But what drew him here was the chance to be part of something progressive, supportive, and growing. ⭐

His days often start before 8am, checking in with teams across multiple sites. He makes sure everyone has what they need, solves any problems, and makes sure that every detail meets the highest safety standards. It’s fast paced, varied, and challenging, but that’s exactly what he enjoys.

Looking back on his first few months at Kyro, he summed it up in three words: Interesting. Progressive. Growth.👷

What’s stood out to him most isn’t the work, though, it’s the people: “We’ve got a great, solid team. Everyone is willing to step in, share their knowledge, and help each other out.”

Our team implemented robust firestopping solutions to all compartment walls, ensuring that temporary fire compartmentation was fully maintained throughout the project phase.

What we need from you:
✔️Proven experience as an intumescent sprayer (airless spraying)
✔️Valid CSCS card
✔️Full UK driving licence
✔️Strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude

By sealing open voids above suspended ceilings, we’re maintaining the integrity of acoustic compartments and ensuring sound doesn’t travel where it shouldn’t.

Controlling sound transmission isn’t just a technical detail — it’s key to workplace productivity and privacy. That’s why we focus on the details others might miss.

Kyro Fire Protection is now on-site at Signal Yard, Milton Park, working alongside Curo Construction to deliver specialist passive fire protection.

📍 Milton Park is a thriving hub for business, science, and technology, home to some of the UK’s most innovative companies. As the park continues to grow, ensuring that the right fire safety measures are in place is essential.

Our work on this project includes:
✔️ Applying cementitious coatings with the Perlifoc system for fire protection
✔️ Removing and replacing non-compliant intumescent coatings
✔️ Firestopping service pe*******ons through fire compartment walls
✔️ Installing FR boarding systems to protect structural steel
✔️ Fitting cavity barriers to improve fire resistance
