Last week I had the pleasure of speaking to Sam Cande, Event Director for The PA Show about her personal recovery from contracting Covid and how her positive mindset and daily routines really helped when things were quite bleak.
I thought this was a timely episode given the recent roadmap out of lockdown from the UK government. Especially for the Events and Exhibitions industry that has been badly effected by the pandemic. Hopefully, there is now light at the end of the tunnel and fingers crossed that plans for live events can go ahead for H2 this year!

If you are stressed out at work 😩, having a bad day or are feeling low and fed-up, remember there are LOADS of things within YOUR control that you can do to help yourself. 👍
👉Plan your day better with plenty of breaks 📝
👉Take a lunch hour! Yes, a whole hour! Do it. And put your phone down! 😎
👉Make sure you go outside and breath in fresh air, slow down and listen to nature 🌻🌳
👉List out things that make you happy and plot these into your week. 🎊
👉Nutrition! Take the time to cook healthy meals and eat well. 🍒
👉Regular exercise has been scientifically proven to reduce stress - find time to go for a walk, run, cycle, yoga etc 🏃♂️ 🚴
👉Sleep! As best you can try and go to bed early, leave your mobile phone downstairs, read a bit and then get some well-earned good quality sleep 😴
👉It is OK to put yourself FIRST!! 😀

If your friend says "I'm off to the gym to work on my physical health and by the way, I've got myself a personal trainer!" would you be worried about them or impressed that they are looking after themselves?
Now consider this....What if that same friend said "I'm going to see a therapist to help with my mental health" Would you be worried about them or impressed?
