Reform UK’s vetting has failed yet again. Sue Eacock became Mayor of Redditch despite posts attacking minority communities, including Muslim and LGBT people. The pattern around Reform candidates is impossible to ignore, and it is disgraceful.

Reform UK has been reported to the equalities watchdog after MPs cited “overwhelming evidence” of Islamophobia.

Muslim communities already face record levels of religious hate crime in Britain. Parties that inflame that hostility must be held accountable.

Reform UK’s defence of Robert Kenyon’s sexist remarks is disgraceful.

Kenyon’s comments about women are blatant misogyny. Reform’s decision to dismiss them as “locker room banter” proves the party is willing to excuse contempt for women when it serves their political interests.

Women and girls in Makerfield deserve respect. Robert Kenyon and Reform UK have shown them none.
