On Thursday 10 November 2016 Chris Ashcroft and Peter Cook attended the IMCA Security Seminar in London looking at Cyber Security and Human Factors. An excellent day well organised and attended by industry and security providers alike thanks to all the hard work put in by Chris Baldwin and the IMCA team.

Last night Peter Cook attended an "Anchorites" dinner on board HQS Wellington with around 100 fellow anchorites from the naval service, commercial shipping and those involved in shipping in the city. The speaker was Mr Richard Sadler, CEO of Foresight Group and former CEO of Lloyd's Register who talked about the digitisation of shipping, linking this to the next generation of Chinese and Korean "smart ships" and the possibility of autonomous ships. A contentious and controversial subject and he did say that one of the things that may delay the introduction of autonomous ships is security concerns.
