Democrats Abroad U.K Women's Caucus The DAUK Women's Caucus is committed to establishing and growing a network of educated and empowered activists.

Our mission for 2017 is: educate, organize, mobilize. We are a rapidly growing organization, comprised of over 280 members and have developed our own grassroots movement in support of our 2017 mission. We focus on self-education and consciousness-raising around democracy, gender equality, and women's rights, and monitor legislation and policy pertinent to our cause and develop actions for our memb

The Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) was first passed in 1994 to:

🔸Investigate violence against women crimes
🔸Prosecute perpetrators of such crimes
🔸Impose requirements for restitution to victims by perpetrators
🔸Provide reparations, if prosecutors opt not to prosecute a crime

In 2019, reauthorization was defeated in the Republican Senate, but it is on President Biden’s 100-day agenda. The House passed the VAWA 224-172 on March 17th, and now faces a battle in the Senate.

Ending violence against women should not be controversial! Call your Senators and tell them:

“Violence against women and girls is a human rights violation, and a deterrent to an equitable and peaceful world. It is devastating and its impact is enormous and widespread. I support the Violence Against Women Act and call on you to support it as well.”
