🍂 Hello October! 🍁✨

It’s officially the 1st of October, and we’re welcoming a brand-new month with some autumn-inspired sensory play! 🧡

Our children have been exploring the beautiful colours and textures of the season through hands-on play — scooping, pouring, discovering and learning along the way. 🍁🥄🍂

Sensory experiences like this encourage curiosity, language development, fine motor skills and imaginative play, while giving our little learners the freedom to explore at their own pace.

Here’s to a wonderful October filled with learning, exploring and lots of autumn fun at Bright Star Day Nursery! ⭐️🧡

🐘 A colourful day of learning at Bright Star! 🐘🌈

Our little learners have been exploring the wonderful world of Elmer the Elephant, celebrating colours, creativity and what makes each of us unique. 🎨✨

From colourful creations to hands-on sensory exploration, there were lots of opportunities to discover, create and learn through play. 💛💚💙❤️

Every child is unique, just like Elmer! 🌈🐘

✨ Learning Our Names ✨

Our little learners have been busy exploring the letters in their names! 🔤💫 Using letter-matching sticks, the children looked closely at each letter and spelt their name!

A simple, hands-on activity supporting letter recognition, name recognition, concentration and early literacy skills — all while learning through play. 🥰

We love seeing those little moments of recognition and confidence! ⭐️

✨ Nursery Leavers Activity Idea 🎨👕

A lovely keepsake idea from our 2026 nursery leavers! 💛

Before saying goodbye, the children created their own special leavers’ T-shirts, adding colourful handprints from their friends to make a lasting memory of the friendships they made during their time at nursery. 🖐🏽🎨

Such a simple but meaningful activity and a beautiful keepsake for children to take with them as they begin their next big adventure at school. 🥰🎓
