Lord Asef Mughal met with team of Mülteciler Derneği (RASAS) in Türkiye to learn more about the Association’s work and explore potential opportunities for collaboration.

The meeting included an introduction to RASAS, covering its history, areas of work, case-management approach, SUKOM data system, community support services and examples of its programmes and partnerships.

Discussions covered a range of important areas, including support for migrants and refugees, social cohesion, women's empowerment and vocational training, and support for children and families experiencing vulnerability. The meeting also explored how information gathered through case management can help identify recurring challenges and contribute to dialogue with relevant public authorities.

The discussion also considered how connections between RASAS and Unity For All’s networks, partner organisations and relevant experts in the United Kingdom could be valuable. Both sides discussed the importance of understanding each organisation’s activities, priorities and working methods to identify areas of common interest and potential cooperation.

Following the meeting, Lord Asef Mughal invited the Mülteciler Derneği/RASAS team to visit the United Kingdom, should cooperation between the organisations progress, to learn more about Unity For All’s work and observe its activities firsthand.

The meeting concluded with a tour of the RASAS community centre, including its administrative areas, registration and reception desk, service offices, consultation rooms and health-related facilities.

The meeting provided a valuable opportunity for knowledge exchange, dialogue and exploring potential areas of future cooperation between the two organisations.

The meeting focused on the organisation’s international welfare and humanitarian initiatives, with particular emphasis on promoting peace, human dignity, interfaith harmony, and mutual understanding among diverse communities around the world.

During the meeting, an in-depth exchange of views took place on the growing importance of strengthening dialogue between civilisations and communities in order to prevent the emergence of a “Clash of Civilizations” and to promote a culture of peaceful coexistence.

Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri highlighted the international vision and humanitarian approach of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, particularly its efforts to promote peace, tolerance, interfaith dialogue, and respect for human dignity. He emphasised the need for constructive engagement among people of different faiths and cultures as a means of addressing misunderstanding, prejudice, and social division.

The discussion also covered initiatives aimed at promoting peace and mutual harmony in the United Kingdom, particularly through interfaith engagement, community dialogue, and efforts to build bridges between people from diverse religious and cultural backgrounds.

Lord Aasef Mughal shared his perspectives on the importance of strengthening cooperation between communities and institutions working for peace and social cohesion. In his capacity as Founder of Unity for All, he emphasised the need for greater collaboration in developing platforms that bring people together across religious, cultural, and social boundaries.

The meeting also explored opportunities for international cooperation in advancing humanitarian values and promoting a more inclusive global society based on peace, dialogue, mutual respect, religious understanding, and human dignity.

Lord Aasef Mughal (Founder of Unity for All) had a meeting with Mr Ramesh Singh Arora (Minister for Human Rights and Minorities Affairs, Government of Punjab)

Despite both having busy schedules, thank you very much for meeting in the middle.

Mr Ramesh Singh Arora's legislative work includes introducing the Punjab Anand Karaj Bill, which was passed unanimously by the Punjab Assembly in 2018 as the Punjab Sikh Anand Karaj Marriage Act, 2018, providing a legal framework for registering Sikh marriages in Punjab. Due to his efforts, Pakistan has become the first country where the Sikh Marriages Registration Act is enforced.

His work has also included initiatives concerning the welfare and development of minority communities. These have included support for minority families, education and e-learning initiatives. He has promoted Kartarpur as an important Sikh pilgrimage destination and highlighted its significance for religious freedom, interfaith understanding and peace. He has also remained involved in facilitating and welcoming Sikh pilgrims visiting religious sites in Pakistan.

The meeting focused on the issues faced by religious minorities in Punjab and the measures being undertaken by the provincial government to address their concerns and ensure the protection of their rights and dignity.

During the meeting, Lord Aasef Mughal briefed the Minister on the work being undertaken by Unity for All in the United Kingdom to promote interfaith harmony, peace, tolerance, and social cohesion.

He explained that Unity for All is actively working to bridge differences among people of diverse religious, cultural, and ideological backgrounds, with the objective of reducing social divisions and fostering greater understanding, respect, and peaceful coexistence among communities.

The discussion also explored the importance of strengthening interfaith dialogue and developing collaborative initiatives that can contribute to the protection of minority rights, promotion of religious harmony, and creation of more inclusive and peaceful societies at both national and international levels.

Mr Ramesh Singh Arora appreciated the efforts of Unity for All in promoting interfaith harmony and peace in the United Kingdom. He acknowledged the importance of initiatives that bring diverse communities together and expressed interest in exploring opportunities for future collaboration and joint efforts in the areas of human rights, minority affairs, interfaith harmony, and social cohesion.

The meeting concluded in a cordial and constructive atmosphere, with both sides expressing their commitment to continued dialogue and cooperation for the promotion of human dignity, equal rights, interfaith understanding, peace, tolerance, and social harmony.

A purposeful and constructive meeting was held at Avari Hotel, Lahore, between Unity for All UK (UFA) and the Interfaith Council for Peace & Harmony Pakistan to explore opportunities for collaboration in promoting interfaith harmony, religious freedom, minority rights, youth empowerment and social inclusion in Pakistan.

The meeting brought together Lord Aasef Mughal (Founder of UFA), Hassan Chandio (UFA Member in Pakistan), Imam Shakeel ur Rehman Nasir (President of Interfaith Council for Peace & Harmony Pakistan), Sami Ullah (Secretary General of Interfaith Council for Peace & Harmony Pakistan)

The discussion focused on strengthening dialogue and peaceful coexistence among people of different faiths and communities. Participants highlighted the importance of constructive engagement between religious leaders, civil society and relevant government stakeholders.

Empowering the Next Generation

A significant part of the discussion focused on the potential development of interfaith courses and skills development programmes for Muslim and minority youth.

The proposed initiatives aim to help young people develop leadership, vocational and professional skills, while creating greater opportunities for meaningful participation in Pakistan's social and economic mainstream.

The participants discussed ways to promote greater awareness of minority rights and religious freedom, alongside community engagement and constructive dialogue.

The meeting also explored opportunities for civil society organizations to contribute to policy dialogue and awareness regarding minority affairs and relevant initiatives in Punjab.

Concerns regarding the misuse of blasphemy laws were also discussed, with emphasis on responsible approaches, due process, legal safeguards and community awareness.

The participants further discussed awareness and preventive initiatives concerning forced marriage and forced conversion, emphasizing the protection of vulnerable individuals, free consent, awareness and cooperation with relevant institutions.

The meeting identified several areas for continued cooperation, including:

Regular coordination and Zoom meetings.
Joint interfaith harmony and dialogue programmes.
An interfaith course for Muslim and minority youth.

A meaningful meeting took place between Lord Aasef Mughal (Founder of Unity For All) and Sardar Saleem Haider Khan (Governor of Punjab) at the Governor's House, Lahore.

The meeting provided an opportunity to observe how Governor help less privilege people & how he carries out his duties, providing an insight into the responsibilities and activities involved in his role.

During the meeting, Lord Aasef Mughal appreciated Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan for his efforts in promoting religious harmony, tolerance, unity and peace among different communities. He also congratulated for Pakistan efforts in promoting peace during continues USA & Iran war, & for Mecca Pact (Mutual defense agreement signed by Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey in Mecca).

Lord Aasef Mughal also shared the vision and work of Unity For All, highlighting the organisation's commitment to ethical thinking, meaningful dialogue, research, community engagement and collaboration.

It was a distinguished privilege for Lord Aasef Rafique Mughal to represent the vision of Unity For All during a landmark community safety event in London on Wednesday, 11th February 2026. The assembly brought together civic and community leaders to address the vital mission of “Building a Safer London” through responsible collaboration and ethical engagement.

The gathering at 146 Queen Victoria Street served as a cornerstone for community cooperation and proactive public safety, emphasising that the strength of London lies in solidarity among its communities and citizens. As a Director of Unity For All, Lord A.R. Mughal championed these key pillars:

Lord AR Mughal recently held a meeting with Kamran Ijaz, CEO of the Abida Ijaz Foundation; Yousaf Abraham, Urdu broadcaster, voice artist, and founder of London Urdu Voice; and Aziz Bilgrami.

We are grateful for such a productive and inspiring meeting. It was a pleasure to host you and engage in meaningful discussions about future projects focused on community service, media collaboration, cultural representation, and positive social impact.

Today, we celebrate the spirit of 'Peace on Earth.' This isn't just a wish for one group of people, but a call to action for all of us. No matter what name we use for the Divine, or what path we walk to find meaning, we are united by our shared responsibility to care for the stranger, feed the hungry, and treat every person we meet with dignity.
May this season remind us that our differences are like the many colors of a single stained-glass window, it is the light shining through all of them together that creates the beauty. Let us move forward with kindness as our common language and unity as our common goal.
