A CIC that recognises those experiencing homelessness require more than accommodation but empowerment
06/11/2024
This year marks a major milestone for Assisted Homes CIC – 15 years of providing life-changing support to vulnerable individuals across our community. Over the years, we’ve empowered countless lives, helping our clients on their journey to independence through tailored support, safe housing, and a dedicated team of incredible staff.
We couldn’t have reached this milestone without our amazing clients, partners, and supporters who continue to inspire us every day. A massive THANK YOU to all of you! 🙏 Together, we’re breaking the cycle of homelessness and making a real difference in the lives of those who need it most. 💙
Here’s to 15 years of impact, innovation, and community, and to many more years of making a positive difference!

World Menopause Day - October 18th
At Assisted Homes CIC, we recognize the impact menopause can have on both our female clients and colleagues. As a homeless community interest company, we understand that women facing homelessness may experience additional challenges when dealing with menopause, and we’re committed to offering the support they need.
For our clients, we provide access to information and resources to help manage menopause symptoms, ensuring they feel understood and supported. For our colleagues, we offer a flexible, understanding work environment, acknowledging the effects menopause can have on their well-being and performance.
By raising awareness and offering practical support, we aim to make this stage of life a little easier for everyone in our community.
Black History Month at Assisted Homes CIC
As a community-driven organization, we’re proud to support a diverse group of people. The majority of our clients are people of colour, and we recognize that their experiences, especially as Black individuals, are shaped by unique challenges and histories that we must be mindful of.
At Assisted Homes CIC, we don’t presume to teach our Black clients and colleagues how to navigate their lived experiences. Instead, we commit to learning from them—listening to their voices and perspectives so we can provide better, more tailored support. We also understand that it’s not their responsibility to teach us; it’s our duty to educate ourselves, challenge our own biases, and create an environment that values their contributions and individual needs.
This Black History Month, we’re taking time to reflect, learn, and honor the rich histories and experiences of our Black clients and colleagues. We are committed to ongoing growth and being a supportive ally every day of the year.
