I moved to Leek three years ago to begin a new chapter, building a new business, and becoming part of a strong local community.

Since then, Leek has become my home, I am passionate about supporting the people and businesses to make Leek thrive again.

A Straight Talking Political Review National & Local, National Picture Where Are We Right Now?

Across the UK, people are feeling the pressure whether it’s the rising cost of living, struggling small businesses, or public services stretched beyond capacity. Trust in politics has been worn down over time, not because people don’t care, but because too many feel they’re not being listened to.

We’ve seen ongoing debates around taxation, immigration, energy policy, and infrastructure but for many households, the reality is simpler:

Bills are up
Wages aren’t keeping pace
Services feel harder to access

There’s also a growing sense that decision-making has become disconnected from everyday life. Whether it’s national policy or regional funding, people want clarity, accountability, and delivery not just promises.

At the same time, Britain still has huge strengths:

A strong entrepreneurial base
Skilled trades and independent businesses
Proud local communities

The opportunity is there but it needs leadership that backs people, not just systems.

Leek North, Staffordshire – What I’m Hearing on the Ground

Speaking directly with residents across Leek North, the message is consistent and it’s not political spin, it’s real life:

1. Roads & Infrastructure
The condition of roads across Leek and the wider Staffordshire Moorlands is a constant concern. Potholes, delays, and wear and tear are costing drivers time and money.

2. Cost of Living Locally
Families and pensioners are feeling squeezed. Everyday costs from fuel to food are having a real impact on quality of life.

3. Support for Local Businesses
Leek has strong independent businesses, but many feel unsupported. Rising overheads and limited local backing are making it harder to grow.

4. Community Spaces & Facilities
There’s a clear demand for better use of local assets whether that’s green spaces, community hubs, or ideas like:

5. “All Talk, No Action”
This phrase comes up time and time again on the doorstep. People aren’t interested in party politics they want results.

My Approach

This isn’t about left or right it’s about local action and accountability.

Listening directly to residents
Pushing for practical, visible improvements
Supporting local businesses and jobs
Making better use of existing spaces
Being present, not just at election time

Because ultimately, representation should be simple:
If something needs fixing we fix it.
If people raise concerns we act on them.

Your Voice Matters

I’m continuing to speak to as many people as possible across Leek North.

If we haven’t spoken yet, message me directly or stop me when you see me out and about.

Let’s keep this conversation going—and more importantly, let’s turn it into action.

Out yesterday with the team on Badnall Street and across Leek North, speaking directly with residents and listening to what really matters.

No scripts. No spin. Just honest conversations on the doorstep.

From the rising cost of living, to the condition of our roads, to the pressures on local services people are frustrated, and rightly so. What I’m hearing time and time again is simple: people want action, not empty promises.

I’ve taken the time to stop, listen, and understand the real concerns facing our community. Every conversation helps shape what needs to be done next because local representation should be about the people, not politics.

Leek North deserves someone who is present, approachable, and prepared to stand up for residents.

If you see me out and about, come and have a chat, I’m always happy to listen.

Let’s bring real representation back to Leek North.

🚧 THE STATE OF OUR ROADS IN LEEK – FROM A DRIVER’S VIEW 🚧

As someone who’s on the road day in, day out, I see it firsthand…

The moment you come into Staffordshire Moorlands, especially around Leek, the difference is clear — potholes, worn surfaces, constant patchwork repairs, and roadworks that never seem properly coordinated.

This isn’t just frustrating… it’s costing us.

💷 Increased fuel use from stop-start traffic
🔧 Wear and tear on vehicles – tyres, suspension, repairs
⏱ Lost time sitting in avoidable congestion

For those of us running businesses, commuting, or just trying to get around locally — it adds up quickly.

We don’t need more talk… we need proper planning, proper investment, and roads that are fit for purpose.

Leek deserves better than temporary fixes and reactive maintenance.

It’s time we:
✔ Fix roads properly, not patch them repeatedly
✔ Coordinate roadworks to avoid unnecessary disruption
✔ Support local drivers, businesses, and communities

Because right now, the reality is simple…

👉 We’re paying more to drive on roads that are getting worse.

Today’s the day for Cheadle West.

If you’re heading to the polls, I’d encourage you to take a serious look at Lee Bentley – Reform UK.

Lee isn’t a career politician. He’s someone who understands the real issues facing local people – from the pressure on small businesses, to the need for proper investment in our communities, and actually listening to residents instead of talking at them.

Too often, people feel ignored and taken for granted. That needs to change.

A vote for Lee Bentley is a vote for:
• Stronger local representation
• Support for local businesses
• Safer, better-managed communities
• Common sense decision-making

If you want someone who will stand up for Cheadle West and actually get things done, today is your chance.

Vote Lee Bentley – Reform UK ✔️

🚧 IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR LEEK RESIDENTS 🚧

We want to make local residents aware that major roadworks will soon be taking place in and around Leek.

We understand this may cause disruption to your daily routines—whether that’s commuting, school runs, or local business access—and we sincerely apologise for the inconvenience this may bring.

However, these works are long overdue. For years, our roads have been neglected and under-maintained, leading to worsening conditions across our community.

Reform UK is committed to taking action where others have delayed, ensuring our infrastructure is finally brought up to the standard that Leek residents deserve.

✅ Improving road safety
✅ Reducing long-term repair costs
✅ Supporting local businesses and transport

We ask for your patience during this period—this is about fixing the problem properly, not patching it temporarily.

If you are affected or have concerns about specific areas, please comment below or message directly—we want to hear from you and keep the community informed.

“Less talk, more action—for Leek.”
