Hate Crime Awareness Week ( ) is an annual campaign aimed at raising awareness of hate crime, encouraging reporting and supporting affected communities. This year, runs from 10th - 17th October.

❌Hate crimes include:

• Being hit or physically assaulted.
• Being called names or made fun of (including by text or on social media).
• Being threatened or intimidated.
• Receiving abusive written communications.
• Being harassed by neighbours or people in your community.
• Having your property or possessions damaged or attacked.
• Being taken advantage of or exploited.

🤚No one should be targeted for who they are. Stand together and speak up against hate.

🗣️How to report Hate Crime:

• You can report to the police (in an emergency always call 999). In a non-emergency call 101, visit your local police station, or report online here: www.norfolk.police.uk/ro/report/hate-crime/information/v1/hate-crime/how-to-report-hate-crime/

• You can also report hate crime anonymously by contacting Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

• Or you can report hate crime through third-party reporting. We work with Stop Hate Crime in Norfolk (SHiN) to provide a third-party reporting option as an alternative to reporting incidents directly to the police. SHiN aims to encourage more people to have the confidence to report incidents of hate either directly to the police, or through external organisations.
