Many thanks to all who joined us fro Autumn Oopen Day - We had a ball! We were joined this year, not only by our little welly wearing friends and family, but also by our friends at Hornbeam Wood Hedgehog Sanctuary who raised £147 with the sale of their enchanting knitted and crocheted hedgehogs and crafted gifts - that is 147 hedgehog meals for hedgehogs in their care!
In ten years Hornbeam Wood have helped 2,311 British wild hedgehogs and baby orphaned hoglets - Amazing work.

Hedgehogs are nature’s ultimate garden sidekicks, but they are rapidly disappearing. In 2026, they were officially downgraded to "Near Threatened" on the Extinction Red List due to a steep 30% drop in their population over just a decade.'

Hornbeam Wood Hedgehog Sanctuary will be back in the Walled Garden on Spring Open Day - 7th April 2027 - Put a note in your diary and jopin us then!
