Today, 1 November, is All Saints’ Day.

At St Andrew’s CE Primary School, we are proud of our connection with St Andrew’s Church in North Kilworth and the example of our patron saint, St Andrew.

St Andrew was one of Jesus’ first disciples. He is remembered for bringing others to Jesus, reminding us of the importance of friendship, welcome and sharing our faith.

As a school community, we are inspired by his example and the opportunities we have each day to show kindness, care for one another and let our light shine.

🍂 What a lovely first few days back after half term! 🍂

We have loved seeing our friends again and settling back into our routines. The children have been busy learning about Autumn, exploring seasonal changes through a range of exciting activities. 🍁✨

We have also begun our new Celebrations topic and have had lots of fun in our birthday role-play area, singing songs, making cakes and celebrating together through imaginative play.

Over the coming weeks, we will be learning about a number of special celebrations and events, including Diwali, Bonfire Night, Remembrance Day, and, finally, Christmas. We are looking forward to discovering how and why people celebrate and commemorate these important occasions, while learning about different traditions and experiences from around the world.

We can't wait to continue our learning journey together this term! ✨

🎃 Pumpkins for the PTA 🍂

The children at St Andrew's have been hard at work, carving and creating some amazing pumpkins for our PTA competition.

Have a look at some of our favourites and look out for the winners and some special mentions, ahead of our PTA Fancy Dress Disco on Thursday.

Oak Class enjoyed a visit to the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Leicester, where they learned more about Hinduism and explored the beautiful, intricately carved building. The children asked thoughtful questions, learned lots from the excellent guides, and gained a deeper understanding of faith and community. A truly enriching experience for all! 🕌😊
