When is half term not half term?
Because Mablethorpe is a holiday town and at least half of our custom comes from people coming in to the town for holidays, we have to work around school term times - which is difficult to say the least if not confusing!
Let's try and clear it up for you!
This coming week the 19th-24th is half term for some people, mostly in the Midlands, but that is predominantly where our holidaymakers come from.
Some of these people have the second week off (Halloween week, and traditionally half term week) as well, but a few don't.
Our local schools have half term in the normal week, BUT they also have a second week at the start of November (I have never heard of that before!), but I only know of two schools off that week.
So with all that taken into consideration, these are our hours for 'half term'! Weekends will be normal hours.
19th - 24th October we will be open 10-4 every day for open play.
27th - 30th October we will be open at 10 every day, and we have events on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (please check the schedule for events.
Saturday 31st October we will be open 10-330 and then we have our Halloween party 5-7.
Sunday 1st November we will be open 10-130 and then we have a private party in the afternoon.
From 2nd November to 14th November we will be closed to set up our Christmas decorations!
Hopefully that is clear for everyone, it's a nightmare!
