Ryebank Fields Community Camp

Ryebank Fields was gifted to Manchester Metropolitan University by Manchester Council many years ago, under the agreement that the area be maintained for use as playing fields - but they are now planning to sell the land for housing "development". We are part of a flourishing community of committed supporters who are dedicated to the preservation of the fields, which have proved themselves essential for neighbourhood health and well being, especially during the last few years. The Friends of Ryebank Fields have been in existence for a number of years, and are a separate, formally constituted campaign with the same aim, to save the fields from development.
