ENOUGH IS ENOUGH

I can no longer sit around and watch another child be killed on the streets of Manchester and listen to people question costs of projects, interventions and work which is aim to better children’s lives!

Global Policing delivers projects in primary schools to teach children about law and crime - other departments in Global Policing have done so well we made our projects in schools cost only reducing the 10 week crime education project which is aimed at children who become criminally responsible at the age of 10 to teach them about law, being a good citizen and give them life skills like respect and empathy - it was £2500 for a whole class, but we reduced this now to £1200 which is not profit!!! That’s £1200 for 35 children to go through a 10 week project that WILL change their lives. It’s not about the money - it’s about the children!!!!

Many schools this year say they can’t pay the £1200 so won’t be running the project as they can’t afford it….some say they don’t have time as they need to catch up on english and maths - English and Maths are no good for our children that are being killed!!!

The policing operation put in place following this horrific crime will be costing £50,000+ that would have been 45 projects and 1500+ children being given help!

We offered our project to the mayor a few years ago and it wasn’t taken up….and they didn’t take it up…

When other councils like Leicester, Cardiff and Blackpool are forward thinking and put every single 10 year old through the project and we have seen massive behavioural changes in the children we have worked with.

Come on Manchester get a grip and let’s start helping these children before it’s too late!!!

I’ve absolutely had enough now and I’m not accepting no for answer - we need to come together to help our community and I’m taking a stand….
